Guten Tag, darlings! Emma here, reporting live from the glorious city of Vienna! As you all know, I’m a bit of a tutu-travel enthusiast, always seeking out new adventures in a whirl of tulle and taffeta. And this week, Vienna has truly stolen my heart – the grandeur, the history, the delicious pastries… oh my, it's truly a dream!
I arrived in Vienna just in time to catch the tail-end of the Christmas markets. You could practically taste the festive cheer in the air – spiced glühwein, gingerbread aromas, and the twinkle of countless fairy lights! Of course, my favourite stall had to be the one selling handmade, shimmering pink tutus! Just the thing to add a little magic to your festive ensemble, wouldn’t you say?
Now, Vienna is known for being the City of Music, but let me tell you, it’s also a haven for tutu lovers! From the grand ballet houses like the Vienna State Opera, where the dancers pirouette with a grace that makes my heart soar, to the smaller, intimate theatres that boast charming productions – there's something for everyone here.
I spent my first afternoon getting lost in the enchanting streets of Vienna's old town, admiring the baroque architecture and fairytale-esque charm of the buildings. Then, I treated myself to an afternoon of pure ballet bliss at the Vienna State Opera! I caught a captivating performance of "Swan Lake" and was mesmerized by the dancers' athleticism and the beauty of the choreography. I felt as if I had been whisked away to a world of fairytale and grace.
After the ballet, I enjoyed a delightful dinner at a traditional Viennese restaurant. And you simply must try the "Wiener Schnitzel" – it's a dish fit for a princess! Topped with a dollop of cranberry sauce, of course, to add a touch of festive pink.
Today, my lovelies, is all about exploring the hidden gems of Vienna. We’ll be waltzing through the grand halls of Schönbrunn Palace, taking a leisurely ride through the beautiful gardens, and even experiencing a thrilling carriage ride through the city!
Did I mention that my trusty pink tutu makes the perfect accessory for all these activities? From dancing on the grand staircase at Schönbrunn to catching the attention of curious passersby during my carriage ride, it's truly the statement piece for any Vienna adventure.
