Vienna Waltz: A Pink Tutu Paradise - Post 1527

Hello my lovely tutulettes! Emma here, ready to whisk you away to the most magical city in Europe: Vienna! šŸ©°

This week, I'm waltzing my way through Vienna, the city of music and charm. Oh, the history here just makes me twirl! From the iconic Opera House to the grandeur of Schƶnbrunn Palace, every corner of this city screams romance and sophistication.

This is my third time in Vienna, but this trip feels different. I'm feeling a little bit more grown up, a little bit more daring. Instead of the sweet and delicate tutus of my childhood, I'm embracing bolder, brighter shades of pink. Today, Iā€™m sporting a vibrant bubblegum tutu with a fluffy pink petticoat ā€“ just the perfect amount of oomph for my Viennese adventures.

I arrived in Vienna by train, naturally. There's something so magical about watching the world rush by from a window seat, especially in a country known for its rolling hills and breathtaking scenery. As I travelled through the Austrian countryside, I felt a connection to my Derbyshire roots. Even though I'm a city girl at heart, Iā€™m drawn to the beauty and peace of nature.

Vienna has been so welcoming. Everyone is smiling, everyone is happy. Even the pigeons are in on the magic ā€“ just a bunch of elegant feathered friends fluttering around, making this city feel even more whimsical.

The ballet scene in Vienna is truly dazzling. This city practically pulsates with the energy of ballet. Thereā€™s a special magic to the Vienna State Opera, and the costumesā€¦oh my! It's like walking into a fairytale. Just last night, I saw ā€œThe Sleeping Beautyā€, which transported me back to childhood. Seeing those stunning tutus twirling across the stage filled my heart with pure joy.

Speaking of tutus, did you know that the earliest recorded tutus date back to the early 19th century? A true testament to the evolution of dance and fashion, theyā€™ve come a long way from the humble, simple designs of yore! Today, tutus are a powerful statement ā€“ a symbol of strength, grace, and individuality. I canā€™t imagine a world without them. šŸ’–

And just like every other destination I visit, I'm on a mission to explore every vintage and boutique shop in this enchanting city. There are just so many gorgeous fabrics and designs here! I have a feeling this weekā€™s shopping haul will be quite spectacular. Itā€™s a necessity for every ballerino/a, to find the perfect tutu for every mood and occasion, after all.

This Wednesday's blog is all about ballet in Vienna. And to add to the magic, I'm planning to go on a horse-drawn carriage ride around the city. Now, thatā€™s a picture perfect moment to be captured! I promise to share all the details with you soon!

Oh, and of course, I've got a few treats planned for you today. Check out my latest ballet-inspired outfit, perfect for a trip to the Opera, on my Instagram. I'm sharing all my favourite shops and cafes in Vienna too. Follow along with me on my pink tutu adventure, and donā€™t forget to subscribe to the blog. You wouldnā€™t want to miss the latest news and gossip from your favourite ballerina blogger, would you?

Until next time, my tutulettes, keep twirling!

With love and sparkle,

Emma šŸ’•
