It’s Wednesday, which means a fresh Pink Tutu Vienna blog post is waltzing your way, straight from the heart of this majestic city! This week, I’ve been twirling my way through Vienna’s captivating ballet scene, its elegant streets, and discovering all the adorable shops overflowing with fashion treasures – because, let’s be honest, a tutu-wearing girl’s gotta shop!
A Ballet Bonanza!
You all know my love for ballet runs as deep as a plié, and Vienna is simply a ballet enthusiast's dream come true. I spent my weekend indulging in a truly breathtaking performance at the Vienna State Opera. It was "Giselle," one of my all-time favourite ballets, and the dancers were simply divine. Their grace and artistry took my breath away – each move a whispered promise of perfection!
Speaking of perfection, can we talk about the Vienna State Ballet company’s tutus?! They were absolutely stunning, the intricate detail, the flow of the tulle… It almost made me want to join them on stage! But my tutu repertoire is better suited for a more whimsical and personal approach, a touch of the "pink tutu" charm, you know!
Tutus and Travel: On the Rails and in the Saddle
Now, you might be thinking: "Emma, you're in Vienna. Why the train?!" Well, my darlings, the journey is as much a part of the adventure as the destination, and hopping aboard the Vienna S-Bahn was an absolute joy! It’s fast, efficient, and honestly, who can resist a carriage with views of the charming Viennese architecture zipping past?
While on the subject of charming, Vienna is home to a very special horse-drawn carriage ride through the city. Yes, you read that correctly, a true fairytale ride! This time I chose to wear a beautiful pink chiffon dress – my way of embracing the romantic air.
A Fashion-Forward City
Oh, the shopping! Vienna has completely captured my fashion-loving heart! There are so many adorable boutiques overflowing with chic, stylish designs, perfect for creating some seriously inspiring Pink Tutu Vienna ensembles.
My top picks this week include a stunning pair of pearl-studded ballerina flats that are just perfect for twirling through the city, a bright pink vintage handbag, and, of course, a new tutu – this one, a cloud of soft lavender, which will be making a very special appearance in next week's blog!
A Moment to Remember
One of the most magical moments I experienced this week was sitting on a bench in the Prater, Vienna’s famous amusement park, enjoying a delicious slice of Apfelstrudel with a side of ice cream. It was simple, yet it perfectly embodied the Viennese charm – relaxed, enjoyable, and bursting with delightful sweetness.
