Hello darlings! Emma here, ready to whisk you away to the enchanting city of Vienna, where music flows through the cobblestone streets and dreams waltz with reality! ?
This week, the Pink Tutu landed in Austria with a gentle clink of my little silver suitcase (it’s a vintage one from my granny, but I love how it chimes when I open it, like a tiny musical chime! whispers Maybe I should make my own ballerina chimes...hmmm!) Anyway, the train ride from Salzburg was absolutely magical. Rolling past sunflower fields, I felt like a porcelain doll nestled in a giant flower meadow. It felt like I'd stepped out of one of those classic ballet story books – except I was the one holding the feather boa! ?
My dear Vienna, how I have dreamt of you! This is my fourth time visiting, but each trip brings new delights. The last time I was here, the city had a big event, an art exhibit about tutu history – I was absolutely obsessed! Remember, ladies, I am a Tutu Connoisseur! They were beautiful, tutus from the 1800s, each a unique glimpse into fashion history, and the way those lovely delicate tulles were sewn - I simply sighed! ?
Now, where to even begin? Oh! The shops are heavenly! For you fabulous ladies out there, I’ve already scouted out some delightful stores with exquisite lace fabrics, beautiful silk ribbons, and of course, some fabulous pink tutus, perfectly tailored for the Viennese waltz! whispers There's this tiny little shop, hidden down a cobblestoned alleyway, called "Das Tütü Boutique"... it's like a fairytale come true! (Just make sure to ask for Frau Müller, she's a fabulous tutu-maker, and always in pink!)
Speaking of fairytale, Vienna is the ultimate place to see one come alive. Tomorrow, I'm heading to the Vienna State Opera to catch "Swan Lake," one of my all-time favourites. whispers The graceful swan costumes! The sheer brilliance of Tchaikovsky’s score! I already feel the chills! This time I'm even wearing my newest pink tutu. This one's got sparkly diamantés, oh darling, you wouldn’t believe!
The ballet schedule in Vienna is packed this month. There's a performance of "La Bayadere" at the Volksoper next week, and I can't miss the modern ballet company's interpretation of "The Nutcracker" the following week. You wouldn't believe how they reinterpret the story of Clara and the Nutcracker... It's utterly fascinating!
Did I tell you about the Imperial Riding School? Imagine the grace, the elegance, of the lipizzaner stallions! A truly royal experience. (Don’t worry darlings, my new pink riding hat and little pearl boots are ready! ). Just this afternoon, I'm going for a horseback ride in Schönbrunn Palace Gardens. I just can't resist those stunning chestnut mares – oh, and imagine, they also use the most divine shade of pink for their saddles and tack!
Tonight though, I'm indulging in a bit of Viennese charm, enjoying some strudel at the legendary Café Sacher, where I'm also planning to snag a few postcards to send you lovely ladies.
Now, you know I adore all things pink, but here in Vienna, I'm utterly enchanted by all the gorgeous shades of blush pink used on the buildings and palaces. There's even a café called Rose Pink, and it has the most gorgeous rose petal tarts! Whispers My pink tutu wouldn't be caught dead anywhere else! ?
This is a true "Pink Tutu Vienna" kind of week! Don't forget, my darlings, you can find all my travel tips, the latest tutu reviews, and of course, gorgeous photos from Vienna on my blog at www.pink-tutu.com!
Catch you next Wednesday, darlings, from a new enchanting city!
XOXO, Emma
P.S. My new tutu obsession has finally landed - a dreamy pink tulle tutu, inspired by Vienna! Imagine a swirl of pale pink, delicate layers of lace, and shimmering silver sequins - and it even comes with a cute matching pink satin ribbon. whispers You know it will be the centerpiece of my next performance!
P.P.S. This pink-tastic journey wouldn't be possible without you, my dear readers! Remember to use #PinkTutuVienna for all your Vienna adventures! ?
