Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, your resident Pink Tutu Princess, and this week's adventure has taken me to the enchanting city of Vienna! This is post number 1674 from my blog, Pink Tutu Vienna, and it's coming to you live from my very stylish, very pink hotel room!
Vienna, oh Vienna, how I've dreamt of visiting you! You've always held a special place in my heart - the birthplace of Waltz, the heart of classical music, and home to the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace, it's just the kind of fairytale setting my pink tutu was made for!
Travelling in Style
This week's trip started with a delightful journey by train from the heart of Derbyshire, England, to the grand old station in Vienna. Of course, no train journey is complete without my signature pink tutu - it makes travelling so much more fun! I must say, my pink tutu drew a lot of smiles on the train, with even a cheeky old gentleman offering me a seat near him! He told me he was a fan of my "dancing spirit" - you'd think everyone would know by now that a pink tutu just automatically signifies a joyful and fabulous attitude!
A Viennese Welcome
After settling in to my hotel, the first stop on the itinerary was, of course, the world-famous Schönbrunn Palace. Stepping inside, I felt like I had been transported back in time to the days of emperors and empresses! The Palace's opulence and grandeur simply took my breath away! I wandered through rooms overflowing with treasures, from exquisite furniture to intricate tapestries, my tutu twirling in time with the historical echoes that seemed to fill the air. The Palace Gardens, however, were simply divine! I'd highly recommend a stroll there – it’s absolutely picturesque, especially if you happen to be wearing a vibrant pink tutu. ?
The Magic of the Vienna State Opera
Vienna is, of course, known for its spectacular musical heritage. No visit here would be complete without experiencing the breathtaking Vienna State Opera. This week, I was treated to a performance of "La Bohème". The costumes were dazzling, the music simply heavenly, and the performance was full of passion and emotion! You know how much I love watching ballet, and I couldn’t help but get swept up in the emotions, feeling that the whole audience and I were connected in a moment of shared beauty. I swear, even my tutu seemed to be swaying in time with the music!
A Stroll through Viennese Style
Speaking of elegance and grace, you can't forget Vienna's stylish shops and boutiques! After my Opera visit, I had to indulge in a spot of shopping! You see, it's important to remember that the "pink" part of "Pink Tutu Vienna" isn’t just a fashion choice, it's a philosophy of life! And what better way to live that philosophy than with a vibrant new piece of clothing, or a chic accessory that'll complement a stunning pink tutu? I can’t reveal too much, because some things have to be kept a secret... until you see my new pink creations on the next Pink Tutu Vienna blog post! ?
Dance & Delight in the Streets
Vienna is not only known for its grand operas, but also for its vibrant street life, its café culture and its open-air performances. While walking through the city's squares and streets, I stumbled upon a group of local musicians playing Strauss waltzes - a truly delightful surprise! I, of course, couldn't resist joining in with my own version of a graceful waltz (in my tutu, naturally!). My little impromptu performance attracted a cheerful crowd, and everyone seemed so charmed!
Pink Tutus - Taking Over Vienna!
Vienna, a city that is known for its traditions, culture and exquisite tastes... I'm not quite sure they're quite ready for a Pink Tutu revolution yet. But who knows! After a few more visits, maybe Vienna's streets will be awash with shades of pink and tutus, all courtesy of your humble Pink Tutu Princess. ?
Finding Joy in the Journey
The journey of this pink-tutu-wearing ballerina, with her ever-present passion for pink, is a journey of self-discovery, exploration and above all, joy. So whether you’re waltzing through Vienna or enjoying a cuppa tea in Derbyshire, remember to find the little things that make you happy. Remember that every day can be a stage, every street a runway, every moment a chance to dance, and of course... every outfit needs a little bit of pink.
