Pink-Tutu Time Travels! Post #1162: 10th October 2016 - A Night of Parisian Drag Dreams!

Hello, my darling drag darlings! Emma here, back from another fabulous trip through time! My magical pink tutu has whisked me off to the 10th of October, 2016 - a truly memorable day, even without a time-travelling tutu, as it turns out.

I'm writing to you from the cobbled streets of Paris, darling! Ooh la la! It's simply divine. Imagine: the smell of fresh croissants, the twinkly lights of the Eiffel Tower sparkling against the night sky, and... wait for it... a fabulous drag show in a hidden cabaret just around the corner from the Moulin Rouge. I knew Paris was fabulous, but I didn't realise it was this fabulous.

Now, imagine, if you will, a pink tutu (naturally, my pink tutu, no other would do), swirling beneath the iconic arc de Triomphe, the wind whispering tales of French revolutionaries and Josephine Baker. And then imagine it again, shimmering in the stage lights of a secret Parisian drag den, sparkling alongside some of the most extraordinary drag queens I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. You'd think you'd gone to a fairytale, right? Well, honey, that was just my average Tuesday.

Now, let's get down to business! This particular October evening in 2016 was absolutely overflowing with drag events, which left my little drag heart completely smitten! From drag balls in New York to cabaret performances in Berlin, it was like a rainbow explosion of glitter and glamour! The iconic Miss Fame herself was gracing the stage at the NYC ball, you know the one. I bet there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when she gave us those signature fierce poses and iconic "Oh My Gawd" looks. I can’t imagine how I would react if I saw her in person! Maybe a faint, I would just have to clutch my own pink tutu, darling, I really couldn’t manage more.

Speaking of Miss Fame, she is also an inspiration for her fabulous makeup and drag looks. A vision in makeup artistry, every contour is perfect, every shimmer flawlessly placed, it really takes your breath away, even through the screens of YouTube, imagine seeing it live! That's what I call a true art form.

Meanwhile, in Berlin, the fabulous Bianca Del Rio was doing her own unique spin on the drag scene with a night of "Roasts and Toasts" and I'd say the world would be better with a whole month of her witty humour, honestly. A little dose of sass and comedic brilliance? Now, that's my kinda party. And of course, she rocked it, darling.

My visit to the secret Parisian cabaret, let’s just say it had an undeniable air of the Moulin Rouge about it. It was so decadent and fabulous! Imagine - red velvet seating, dim lighting, and a troupe of French drag queens belting out Parisian ballads while wearing sparkling sequined tutus, but obviously none of them were as lovely as mine. The night just flowed with glamour, music, and laughs. A true Parisian spectacle that, honestly, could rival any famous cabaret on the planet!

But what's even more impressive about all of this is the sense of community! Drag queens across the globe are coming together to celebrate art, creativity, and individuality! And my darling dears, it makes my little time-travelling heart sing! This is a scene where the outcasts find their tribe, and find strength and freedom through each other!

In conclusion, my darlings, it seems that 2016 was an extravagantly colourful year in the world of drag, and just as extra as this post has been. But don't take my word for it, travel to 2016 and experience it yourself. Just make sure you put on a pink tutu and take your best selfies with all the fabulous drag queens you meet. Who knows, maybe one of these queens will make it big just like Bianca Del Rio and Miss Fame did? Only time will tell, my darlings!

Until next time, keep your eyes on the pink tutu and never stop spreading the joy of drag! And don’t forget to visit my website www.pink-tutu.com for your daily dose of fabulous! I’ve also attached my latest fabulous look with some incredible pink tulle for all my readers.

Ciao for now, darling!
