As always, this month, we’re swirling through history with my magical, time travelling pink tutu! I’m here to share all the fabulousness we encountered and give you the latest gossip straight from the archives - because a little bit of drag history can make life oh-so-much more fun!

Now, on with the story, darlings… August 2023! Ooh-la-la! This was a month brimming with fabulousity, packed with glittering shows, legendary queens, and some serious history making moments. So hold onto your wigs, darlings, because it’s a real rollercoaster ride through the dragsphere this month!
Time Travelling in my Pink TutuAugust started with a trip to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a hotbed of creativity and fun. I swear, darlings, it’s the only place on Earth where you can see a mime doing a double pirouette whilst dressed as a lamppost - and that’s before the drag shows even begin!
I got to see some of the most brilliant shows; drag was absolutely booming, full of laughter, energy, and a true celebration of what it means to be a queen. Imagine, a mix of cabaret, comedy, and sheer outlandish fun, all squeezed into a tiny tent. The energy, the costumes, and the audience reactions - pure magic!
But of course, what would a drag adventure be without a bit of fashion? I whizzed over to Harrods (always a good move!) and stumbled across some dazzling new designers. Ooh, the outfits were simply to die for! I managed to snag myself a couple of amazing sequined trousers and a feather boa to match my new super fabulous pink tutu! Oh, you better believe I took selfies in front of the iconic Harrods window - that pink tutu definitely stood out in all the gold!
The highlight of my time travelling adventure was definitely RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Versus the World. Can you believe it? We saw queens from all across the globe battling it out on the runway, a total celebration of drag’s global reach! What a night! I mean, the costumes, the fierce looks, and of course, the sheer amount of talent. It was so inspiring! I was absolutely giddy. It truly showcased the diversity and artistry that shines so bright within our drag community - it makes my heart swell just thinking about it!
Global Drag Dreams!One thing that I noticed during my August time-travel escapades was that the world is embracing drag like never before. There were drag shows popping up everywhere – cafes, schools, libraries, even parks. It’s a truly magical time for us, darlings, because it's so wonderful to see drag finding new homes and sparking joy across the globe.
This was a month that really got me thinking. It’s not about whether a drag queen is in a ballgown or wearing a pink tutu (though obviously, I believe pink tutus are always a good idea!), it’s about the feeling of self-expression, the sheer joy of creativity, and that ability to bring people together through a shared love for entertainment.
So let’s get on with making those pink tutus a universal symbol of fun and empowerment! The world is waiting for your flamboyant flair, so why not grab one and get out there!
