It was truly an unforgettable month, and trust me, babes, it's one I'll never forget!
Firstly, let's talk about the absolute spectacle of RuPaul's Drag Race. It's a show I've always adored, even in the olden days. Well, 2024 marked the show's milestone season with RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. The World, and honestly, it was the perfect blend of drama, camp, and those fabulous British sass skills! Remember when Bimini Bon Boulash snatched that crown, oh my! What a phenomenal performance! It truly encapsulates the magic of drag, reminding us that the most important thing is to be your authentic self and celebrate our shared passion for self-expression.
While I was hopping around different times, it was so nice to see drag breaking boundaries! Drag had found a fantastic new stage with TV shows like Queen of the Universe - what a fabulous global affair that was!
Speaking of stages, we also saw drag queen powerhouses taking over the musical theatre scene, especially in London's West End! It's been so rewarding to witness drag stars taking their place in theatre productions, proving they can truly do it all. It's absolutely amazing how drag has seeped into every corner of pop culture, breaking down barriers and opening up doors for everyone.

Remember how I told you about my aim to get everyone in a pink tutu?

You're right! The UK's The Great British Bake Off. Let me explain - remember when that fab drag queen contestant, Jenny walked out on stage for the Bake Off final in a pink tutu?
Oh, it was iconic.
Remember those beautiful, flamboyant gowns she created? She managed to make something as ordinary as baking into a show-stopping spectacle! From then on, the hashtag #PinkTutuForEveryOccasion was all over social media! Suddenly everyone wanted a pink tutu. My mission is now truly working. But back to my time-travelling adventure, I spent hours watching fabulous shows on platforms like Youtube and Twitch, where the drag community has just blown up! It was the perfect opportunity to discover the next generation of drag superstars - some of them so innovative and full of energy. This is really an exciting moment in drag history - think about all of the potential. Drag can truly reach anyone now!
And honestly, who can resist a little sprinkle of glitter and fabulous fashion? Even those who might not have ever been exposed to drag were completely swept up in the magic.
I spent hours shopping at incredible stores - I loved seeing the latest in vintage drag fashion. Imagine! Tutues from decades ago, I can't resist!
Speaking of drag fashion, oh, the outfits! I even stumbled across a pop-up shop called "Tutus & Tiaras," where they were selling the most extravagant and glamorous pink tutus.
