Hiya darlings, it's Emma here, your favourite pink-loving, tutu-wearing, time-travelling blogger, and this month, my fabulous, magical tutu has whisked me off to the glittering future of 2026! I tell you, itâs wild out here, the year is a total dream come true! Imagine, darling, you could practically teleport yourself back to this glorious time. And what time would it be? Why, this month, right here in this moment in time, it's 2026, honey!
Now, my darling, I know what youâre thinking. â2026? Doesnât sound so glamorous Emma, I bet all the drag shows have been canceled by aliens by then.â Not a chance! Drag is thriving in 2026! Itâs more vibrant than ever! In fact, my lovelies, this year the world is actually celebrating the biggest Drag Expo of the century!
Now, you all know Iâm obsessed with a good, glamorous time-travel adventure and, believe me, 2026 is a dream, darling! Every town, every city, you can find drag shows happening like thereâs no tomorrow, it's an absolute hoot! The most wonderful part? Drag's gone truly global - and you wouldn't believe the exciting news coming out of Sydney, Melbourne, Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and even the most fabulous town of them all, London!
You might be thinking: âEmma, Emma! 2026, aliens, Drag Expo - sounds wild! What are you doing in this magnificent time, Emma? Give us the low-down.â Now you've caught my attention, my dears! First, the grand opening of the biggest drag exposition of all time was this year in Hong Kong! The whole event took over an entire skyscraper, the theme? 'Future Fashion'. The looks, oh honey, the looks! We're talking robots, holograms, and everything imaginable!
As you can imagine, I'm a sucker for a glamorous exhibition and, in true Emma style, I swanned straight in wearing a breathtaking, shimmering pink tutu and a glitter bomb crown. Believe me, darling, the fabulous queens at this Expo were something else. Youâre talking holographic costumes, iridescent makeup, it was a total masterpiece of futuristic artistry. The queenâs performances - think aerial acrobatic stunts and hologram dancers - absolutely incredible! The biggest event of the century, not a single detail left out, and everyone from seasoned, celebrated veterans like Divine Diva and Venus Vox to fresh faces with such fresh, avant garde ideas that the whole world was stunned were there.
And the Drag Expo is just one fabulous event in 2026! London was no less amazing. This time I popped by for a magnificent theatrical extravaganza â they are actually presenting Shakespeare in Drag at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon! You could say that Shakespeare, the Bard himself, might be slightly outdated to the modern queen - yet this company in 2026 managed to put on a sensational show! It wasnât your average Shakespearian experience, believe me!
As soon as I heard about Shakespeare in drag, I immediately knew I had to visit! You wouldn't believe how excited I was! After my delightful visit, I made sure to dress up in my finest pink tutu and meet a few drag performers at the local pub, the Queen Maryâs, after the show! Talk about fun!
As I told you, 2026 is bursting with drag fun! In the USA, there's been a massive change in the world of Drag in drag in New York - an absolute whirlwind of incredible queens from every walk of life, every corner of the world, and it was just unbelievable to witness, such a unique, dynamic force of talent!
Speaking of dynamic forces, the drag street scene in Tokyo - the most vibrant city for drag in all of Asia, they call it - is even bigger in 2026! With queens from around the globe and street performances taking place all the time! Tokyoâs known as the leading center for Dragâs vibrant street scenes. Tokyo's like one big stage and you just walk by to discover drag!
Imagine all of that! And for a girl who grew up watching TV reruns of the Drag Race shows ( you're going to tell me that drag isn't more popular than ever, arenât you, dear?) and then becoming a queen myself! Imagine this happening in 2026! The queen's got some of the craziest costumes - think robots and cyberpunk style, so fabulous, and they all know each other like it's the norm for every drag queen to go out there and just be fabulous!
Now, what have I been up to all this time, I hear you ask? My biggest accomplishment this month was persuading the whole city of London to participate in the biggest tutu event EVER!
Let me tell you something, my lovelies. I may be biased, but the tutu, my favourite garment, the key piece of my attire and style for the most important occasion is absolutely taking over the fashion world in 2026! My plan is to get everyone, from the highest profile A-list celebrity, right down to the most fashionable housewives on planet earth, into a pink tutu. Everyone on planet earth rocking a pink tutu? Sounds pretty fun to me!
After a while in London, I knew it was time to pack my pink tutu and head back to my own fabulous time period! It's been a whirlwind tour through time, seeing such beautiful places. This month, it's been great catching up on some fashion history. Now back to present day and it's time to prepare for some showstopping performance that will get everyone excited for next month's blog post about 2027! Till then my gorgeous girls!
