Helloooo my lovely darlings! Welcome back to the Pink Tutu Time Travel blog, your monthly dose of glitz, glamour, and all things pink, fluffy and fabulous! Today's a bit different - we're heading back in time to September 2026, oh my, it's giving history! I'm currently prepping my divine pink tutu (the one with the sparkly pink butterflies - you know the one, the one that made all the little kittens meow!) for my next drag performance which is thrillingly raising funds for my next grand time travelling adventure! But before we dive into all that, let's delve into the glorious world of drag back in 2026...
Oh my darlings, the world of drag in September 2026 was buzzing! It was like a giant ball pit full of sparkling glitter, glamorous outfits, and beautiful queens who were ready to take over the world, one sassy sashay at a time! Remember the legendary Drag Race? The queens of the era, oh they were giving fierce, giving attitude, living their best lives - serving fierce lewks on a silver platter. They were not just about the runway; they were using their voices to uplift, to educate and entertain! This wasn't your grandma's drag! Oh, they had such charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, just like us darling!
In the glorious month of September 2026, you could have seen, my darlings, you could have witnessed a spectacular range of shows: Drag Race finale parties across the globe (it felt like the whole world was watching!), immersive Drag experiences that combined live performances with themed restaurants, oh and amazing drag brunches with more glitter than a disco ball on New Year's Eve, all accompanied by yummy food, naturally! And darling, can we talk about the fashion? Forget plain clothes! They were dazzling the audience with avant garde creations and vintage glam that brought back those golden age vibes! They even had a big drag and art exhibition, showcasing queens’ talents outside of performing!
You see, darlings, the world of drag back then wasn't just about stage performances - it was a celebration of diversity, creativity and pure unadulterated fun. It was like stepping into a fantasy land where anything is possible and anything can be worn, from those beautiful extravagant feathered headdresses, which were very popular in 2026, to adorable rainbow-striped platform boots! Oh my, those platform boots! Imagine a sparkly rainbow glitter finish with chunky gold studs and the most fabulous heels ever created - the epitome of glamour. My darling, if I can say so myself, I could absolutely rock a pair of those boots. But you see, we’ve just got to keep those glitter platforms pristine - the queens of that era really put their hearts into their performances - and for that, my dear, we should all be grateful for the drag that paved the way for what we have today.
But enough of reminiscing - it’s time for this Emma to take action! Let's talk time travel! I just secured a slot at the divine new “Nightingale's Nest" cabaret club, a glamour heaven full of burlesque dancers, glitter-bombed cocktails, and the most delicious cherry-topped cocktails (pink, naturally!) My performances are helping fund my next time travel adventure, and let me tell you, darling, this one’s going to be HUGE! We are, of course, using the trusty time-travelling pink tutu (don't worry, she's having a beautiful little rest after the last trip – but we'll get her back to work!).
Where are we going? Oh my darlings, it's a secret! I need to do some research for my next breathtaking blog post! Remember to subscribe to the Pink Tutu Time Travel blog for your dose of glitter and history every month. Emma
