Pink-Tutu.com: Post 1294 - A Peek Into The Pink Past!

Hello, darling dears! Emma here, your ever-so-fashionable pink tutu wearing time traveler! It's been a while since our last jaunt through the annals of drag history, but fret not, I've been busy working on some fabulously flamboyant outfits (you'll love the sequins on this month's pink number!) and preparing to take you on another time travel adventure.

As usual, my time-traveling tutu took me on an exciting whirl this month, and you won't believe what we discovered! Today, dear darlings, we are hopping right back to 10th October 2027! Can you believe it's already been five years?! Time really does fly when you're wearing fabulous shoes!

But before we dive into the glitz and glamour, I simply must say how chuffed I am with all the fabulous new additions to the Pink Tutu Club! That’s you lot, yes, you wonderful souls rocking those pink tutus everywhere you go! It makes me so proud, darling, you’re making drag history, one frilly flounce at a time. Remember, honey, wearing pink and twirling around in a tutu isn't just about fashion, it’s about celebrating self-expression, acceptance, and oh, darling, the joy of just being you!

Now, onto our fabulous trip!

10th October 2027 was a Thursday, and in London, darling, the Drag Palace was alive with excitement!

Imagine it, darling. The Palace is just breathtaking! The stage is enormous, the lights, just wow! The best thing, dear darlings, is that they have this huge dressing room with a disco ball. You just can’t go wrong with a bit of sparkly disco! You could say this dressing room is a veritable 'drag den'.

Right, back to 2027. The Drag Palace, on this day, was a hub of Drag Superstars, celebrating all the newest and the brightest drag performers! It was an epic display of fashion, music and drag performance! They were rocking out to the latest tunes with fabulous makeup looks that, frankly darling, made me question my own artistic prowess.

But hey, you know what, honey, I don't let competition bring me down. I just admire from afar, find inspiration in these drag icons, and add my own unique spin. After all, isn't that what makes drag so exciting? A melting pot of creativity, individuality, and love!

Across the pond in the vibrant, oh so fun city of New York, a huge drag showcase was taking place, “New York Drag Week”, with contestants vying for the title of 'Drag King of New York'. Imagine, darling, Drag Kings galore!

This incredible event highlighted how drag transcends the typical image we have, showcasing the diversity within this magical world. You wouldn't believe the sheer range of performers, darling, all vying for the coveted crown! They'd sashay down the catwalk, looking absolutely stunning! Imagine dapper, sharp looks, flawlessly executed, that ooze a confident energy - oh honey, these queens and kings were living their best lives!

Did I tell you what I wore to my time travelling escapades, darling? I opted for a bold, bright pink, high-waisted tutu (the frills, oh the frills!). I paired it with a sequined bodice (shimmering in hues of fuchsia and rose!) and of course, oodles of pink feathers, sparkling rhinestones, and matching pink ballet flats! It was a head-turning outfit!

I always make a point of making an entrance!

Let's talk about fashion! Back in 2027, we had drag looks galore. Fashion houses, all over the world, embraced a love for everything pink and tutus were the rage! The pink tutu, a fashion icon itself, found a new lease of life on the runway. Remember, darling, a good pink tutu goes with anything. I paired it with an amazing sequined jacket – oh, and I had a little tiara just for that occasion! I believe I took several dozen photos, dear! It is the very least you could expect from a fashionable time traveler, darling.

Now darling, that wasn't the only place where fashion and drag reigned supreme! Imagine this, darling: I stepped into a fabulous store on Fifth Avenue, a little boutique I discovered thanks to the magic of time travel! This boutique was a haven for drag queens and fashionistas alike. And oh darling, you should have seen the tutus!

Tutus of all colours, patterns and fabrics you can imagine, darling! Think shimmering sequined, gossamer lace, fluffy, bright neon, and of course, my beloved pink tutus, perfectly pleated and ready to wear! It felt like I’d stepped into a fashion fairytale! This, darlings, is how we embrace our love for all things fabulous!

I also travelled to Japan! There, on October 10th, the very first Tokyo Drag Marathon took place, with a truly wonderful drag performance at the finish line! Can you imagine the scene, darling? I mean, drag runners, giving it their all in those fabulous heels, and a show stopping performance to celebrate! There's just no better way to embrace the art of drag than with a good old-fashioned marathon. Don't forget to check the dates for next year's marathon, darling! I know I certainly will!

That brings me to the end of my travels this month, darling. Thank you, as always, for joining me on this time travel journey!

Don't forget to wear your pink tutu with pride, darling! Let's show the world the power of expression, joy and love. Spread the message of love through fashion! I can’t wait to see your amazing tutus, send me a photo with #PinkTutuClub on socials, so I can feature them on my blog! Remember, darling, we're all in this together. We're a global pink tutu family, and the world is our stage!

Until next month, my dears. May your pink tutus shine bright!

Much Love, Emma x
