Hey dolls, and welcome back to my fabulous time-traveling blog, Pink-Tutu.com! This month we're whizzing back to May 2032, and trust me, this month has some real sparkle! I'm your time-travelling guide, Emma - a Derbyshire lass with a penchant for pink, tutus, and of course, a healthy dose of drag!
Now, May is a real month for big events, like Mother's Day, and well, I have a rather lovely idea on how we can all get our mamas some incredible pink tutu love, but more on that later! I've been sashaying through this month in my trusty pink, time-traveling tutu, soaking up the energy of the drag scene and let me tell you, babes, 2032 is full of glitz!
Back to the Future, or the Future of the Past?
The drag scene in 2032 was so vibrant, and not a single pair of ripped jeans in sight! Drag's been going strong since those early days, you know, back in like⌠cough⌠well⌠a very long time ago! And boy, have things changed!
The thing I noticed right away is how drag was really truly everywhere. Not just the theatre, although the shows I saw in NYC and Paris were phenomenal! (Did you know that Paris has a Drag Palace where the queens even hold ballet drag performances? It was truly magical!). No, the drag scene in 2032 had exploded like a sparkly glitter bomb, spreading its magic into shops, restaurants, television, even politics! I spotted a drag queen mayor, imagine that!
There was even this super-popular online drag fashion show, âThe Fashion Twirl," where they brought historic couture looks back to life with incredible drag renditions. The internet was buzzing about it, with memes galore about the queensâ hilarious âfashion failâ attempts! I know my blog is great and all, but even I canât compete with that sort of buzz!
What Was Hot?
This month, the queens were seriously embracing colour and statement outfits! Forget boring beige - everyone was all about neon, holographic fabric, and, of course, a PINK palette, my favourite, darling! I even saw one drag queen do a full neon-pink-and-black look in tribute to the iconic Pink Lady era, and let me tell you, it brought the house down!
And What was Not
Honestly? Those ridiculous trends from, say, the early 2020s where it was all about, like, matching sweatsuits? Well, those were long gone! In fact, anyone who was wearing them got a very cold stare! We all had the same goal: to bring the drama, darling, and you donât do that in a matching sweatsuit, let's be real. I have to confess, the world wasnât ready for pink tutus back then - but thatâs okay, because I am!
My Pink Tutu adventures
My journey started in the heart of Derbyshire - can you imagine what my dear mam thought about me going back in time? She wasn't too surprised though. Sheâs pretty used to my antics. From Derbyshire I journeyed through the centuries in my shimmering pink tutu, going faster and faster in search of the drag stories, the fashion, and, let's be honest, those fantastic shopping sprees.
The magic of a pink tutu works, you know? Like I can truly, really travel to any time, anywhere, by simply focusing on the date and the place - and wham! It's instant travel. Youâve got to try it. Just put on a pink tutu, and imagine where you want to go!

Ok, enough about time travel and history for a moment, darlings, because we all know that fashion is history.
