Hello, darlings! Welcome back to Pink-Tutu.com, your monthly dose of glitz, glam, and everything pink. This month, prepare for some seriously exciting news – this #DragQueenHistory enthusiast is finally stepping into the future! 💅

Yep, that’s right! This month's travel is for the big 2040, baby! A mere 19 years from now… scary, right? 😉 The future is calling, and your favourite pink-loving time traveller, that's me, Emma, is answering! I must say, as an absolute fan of anything fashion, a little peek into what drag styles might be ruling the scene in the year 2040? Well, I can't miss that!

I've already got my sparkly time travelling pink tutu ready (it’s new, this month I got a fancy one with lights!) and my big day's on the 4th of April! 💖 I’m ready to go forth and discover what wonders the future of drag holds!

2040 - A Year of Technological Twirls & Dragtopia!

Firstly, let’s talk about what was in the news that month for Drag Queens:

• The Great Drag Runway Extravaganza! 💃 In the world of 2040, apparently, fashion is all about futuristic, tech-infused looks – think body-mapped LED displays that transform with the music! And flying platforms?! 😲 Now, where can I buy myself one of those?

• Dragtopia: A Global Village for Drag Artists! 🌏 The rumour mill is going crazy! This seems like a huge news event - a whole virtual world specifically designed for drag! Forget Instagram and Tik Tok! The world of Drag is creating its own, self-sustaining, vibrant drag-verse! How bloody brilliant! I’m already learning the drag moves to the drag avatar... which of course is me in my Pink Tutu... and I even have my own virtual glitter cannon.

From Drag Runway to Global Virtual World - What a time to be alive, babes!

So, how exactly does this future world compare to our good old 2023? I mean, aside from the tech bits...

Firstly, it looks like a super welcoming space for all! Forget gender limitations and outdated norms! 2040's all about expression, creativity, and building community – that’s my kinda world! 🙌 Also, did you know there’s even a Drag Academy? You learn about make-up, performing arts, choreography and the history of drag – everything a queen could dream of!

The Good, the Bad & the Pink Tutu

Honestly, I was a little shocked by how different it was. Not just the techy aspects, but also the ways the whole world works now. I was surprised to find that some traditional, real-life, in person, venues for Drag performances have disappeared, as everyone moved online, even my local drag shows had all shifted. 😥

And did you know almost everyone has pink tutus as a go-to outfit for all their social media selfies? 🤯 Pink tutu, Pink tutu everywhere I look... but actually? Pink Tutu fashion in 2040 has evolved so much, it's actually eco-friendly now! Most of the material is biodegradable and created with new techy innovations to stop waste. I think I’ll stick to my traditional tulle for the time being!

But here’s what made me truly elated, 2040 sees drag as a cultural icon! I'm talking full-on representation on mainstream platforms – TV, film, and everything in between. It’s an inspiring vision, honestly.

My Biggest Discovery? Drag History Rocks the Future

Speaking of the past and the future – here’s something that totally blew my mind. You know how we here in the 2020s talk about "celebrating the pioneers"? They’re still celebrating the OG Drag Queens in the 2040s! 💫 But here's the twist - they’re not just honouring names and stories... they're taking actual 3D historical models and using them to create interactive exhibits. Imagine... walking into a museum and seeing your own tuttiest drag ancestors coming to life right in front of your eyes! Absolutely bonkers!

That's one thing they get right, in 2040 - drag isn’t about the fleeting moment – it's about remembering, honoring, and building on those glorious drag legacies! You better believe that, darling, my own history of travels and all those pink tutu adventures will have its rightful place in this fabulous museum, if I’m not already in it myself!! 😉

I have so many thoughts running through my head as I try to grasp the futuristic marvels of 2040… but in the spirit of Pink-Tutu, I have one, all-important takeaway! You're still absolutely amazing, just as you are.

Remember those little seeds of drag creativity that are growing within you, those little dreams that inspire you to paint your face and wear a killer outfit? Let them bloom! *We all are writing our own story, in each decade. I'm proof of that. * So, don’t be afraid to let your unique self shine bright.
