Helloooo my darling darlings, and welcome back to my pink, perfectly preened corner of the interweb. It's Emma, your very own time travelling ballerina queen, ready to take you on a glittery trip back in time – specifically, to 2050.07.XX.

Yes, my loves, this month's adventures take us way into the future, all the way to 2050! This trip's all about the magic of drag and how far it's come, and, as always, I'm here to spread the love of all things pink, tutus and shimmering fashion.

This month's journey begins in Derbyshire, just like always. The sun was shining on my darling home county, birds were singing sweetly and, most importantly, my favourite pink tutu was hanging beautifully in my wardrobe. I felt a tingly sensation... a delightful tingle, a feeling I get before a big show...

Then, a whisper! Like the delicate breeze of a feather boa rustling against the night sky. A hush. Then, like magic, my beloved tutu pulsed with a faint, electric pink light and - poof! – I was gone! I had become the world's most stylish, glamorous time traveler. It truly is all in the tutu, my loves.

The world of 2050 is more fabulous than anything I could have imagined, darlings! The air is buzzing with techy gizmos I couldn't even begin to comprehend, but the main takeaway is… everything is even more GLITTERY than today!

Now, when it comes to drag in 2050, it’s more diverse, more outrageous, more dazzling than ever.

Here are a few highlights from the Drag Scene in 2050

Drag shows have become multi-dimensional - imagine projections of the sky raining down glitter, shimmering with light, while a performer flies through the air in an amazing light show and their outfit becomes a mesmerizing constellation of sparkles – I know, breathtaking, isn't it?

Drag queens from every walk of life: 2050 celebrates diversity in all its glorious shades and sequins! Drag is an art form that truly reflects the global village, a colourful tapestry woven with different stories, backgrounds, and identities, showcasing everyone's talents and captivating the world. I can’t even tell you the diverse beauty of the queens who've stepped up the performance bar. From an all-dancing drag show featuring robot drag performers to the world of immersive VR drag theatre.

Digital Drag – think of immersive drag, but all in your living room. There are holographic shows, streaming platforms showcasing global drag talents and you can even join virtual shows to mingle with the drag divas! It’s amazing to see how digital drag is opening up new doors for creativity and audiences!

Global drag events: the world's largest drag festival was in Berlin! A festival spanning the entire city with a parade, drag shows in historic landmarks, and incredible, imaginative digital performances! I truly felt like I was in a dazzling world of drag!

During my trip to the future, I, of course, got dressed to impress and went to as many shows as my pink tutu schedule allowed.

Here’s a quick rundown:

• The Intergalactic Ballroom - I was spellbound. I saw a stunning performance from Dragstar - an intergalactic superstar who combined drag with dance, futuristic fashion, and incredible light effects! It was beyond anything I’ve seen in my 200 years of time travel!

• A Night With the Holo-Queens: Here, they take Drag into another dimension, my dears! I couldn’t get enough of the Holo-Queens: digital drag queens who brought dazzling 3-D performance art to life! One of my favourites was a digital performance of "Prismatic Princess," with all the beauty and elegance of a digital ballet combined with an incredible shimmering holographic dress.

• Drag fashion: An Evolution - Even drag fashion is evolving with technology. I saw stunning 3-D printed drag outfits! Think of amazing dresses that are almost living and breathing. I spotted a stunning rainbow gradient outfit changing colour like the chameleon at a street show! This is futuristic drag, darling!

But this trip wasn’t just about shows, it was about the community. I got to connect with other amazing drag queens from all over the world – from seasoned queens who are legends in 2050, to rising stars starting out on their incredible drag journeys. We had the most divine time swapping stories and comparing notes on pink tutus!

Pink Tutu Mission in 2050: You might be surprised to know, my dears, but spreading the joy of pink tutus isn't always a piece of cake in the future! There was a very serious "Tutu Crisis." A generation had popped up where wearing a tutu, even in drag, had been completely out of fashion, can you imagine? It seems they went through a stage where they thought "comfort over glamour" and let’s just say the drag scene in 2050 didn't look its best. It’s important, you know, that future generations don't forget the pink tulle heritage that has served us all so well! I just have to find the right campaign for these youngsters and inspire the next generation with some sparkly, tutu love!

So, how do we convince a whole generation that there's no such thing as too much pink tutu? How do we convince the kids in 2050 that a touch of tulle is what the doctor ordered? My lovely dears, I shall let you in on a little secret.

This, my dear darlings, will require the use of some major Tutu magic. It will require that all you amazing drag queens reading this blog do some extra work in getting those new kids wearing some amazing tulle.

So, I've decided to start a #PinkTutu2050 mission - my mission to get those beautiful souls in the future loving the pink, glittery glory that is a tutu!
