Pink Tutu Travels: Post 1643 - A Dragtastic Day Trip to 2056!

Hiya darlings! It’s your favourite pink tutu-clad time traveller, Emma, here, ready to whisk you away to a glittering adventure in the world of drag! Today, we’re stepping onto the time travel runway and jetting ourselves forward a whopping 45 years to the glorious date of 11th November 2056!

The fabulous thing about time travel, babes, is that you never know what delightful surprises await you. Today’s trip, I have to say, was absolutely brimming with surprises, even for someone as seasoned as myself. Imagine my shock when my trusty pink tutu (she knows, she feels, she understands) landed me right in the middle of what looked like a… drum roll please …a Drag Ball in SPACE!

That's right, babes, outer space! Apparently, with technological advancements happening faster than my sequins can shimmer, space travel is now the new "black," with interstellar drag competitions happening on the regular! It seems there's a whole gaggle of drag queens across the galaxy, from Alpha Centauri to the Andromeda Galaxy, all ready to werk it on the cosmic runway.

As I stepped onto the holographic platform (a modern take on the old-fashioned runway, I reckon) I couldn't help but marvel at the incredible ingenuity! The whole room was vibrating with the energy of dazzling holographic lights that changed colour with each queen's entrance, showcasing outfits made from shimmering nebulae and celestial dust – utterly out of this world, literally!

My eyes popped wider than the Milky Way when I saw the drag queen judges - imagine my shock when I recognised some familiar faces - it was, wait for it, Bianca del Rio! The judge's seat next to her? Filled by none other than the Queen of Snatch Game, Jinkx Monsoon! I kid you not! These iconic queens were clearly having a cosmically good time, cracking jokes sharper than a neutron star and offering advice hotter than a supernova.

Speaking of queens, let me tell you, this cast of cosmic competitors was hotter than the surface of the sun! A queen named Nebula shimmered with metallic tones, evoking a beautiful, shimmering aurora. Another, Stardust, had constructed a full body costume adorned with thousands of twinkling LEDs, resembling a real, twinkling constellation. It was jaw-dropping, darlings! And, we had Comet, a truly galactic spectacle who pulled off a show-stopping performance in a custom-made gown constructed of actual asteroid debris. Seriously, I have never seen a performance as stunning!

Of course, no fabulous drag event is complete without some fabulous fashion! My girl, Comet, wowed the judges with a flowing silver dress crafted from a material that was entirely weightless in the air. Her movements were breathtaking – it truly looked like she was floating through space. I'd definitely try my hand at that technique in the next pink tutu-fueled adventure.

Then there was a fabulous duo named “Nebula & Galaxy” who used their show-stopping costume to showcase a moving art exhibit designed with projected images, mimicking swirling nebulae and exploding stars. Absolutely magnificent!

It goes without saying that the makeup was out of this world! The techniques these queens were using were beyond anything we could imagine back here on dear old Earth. Apparently, there is a new product out called "HoloGlitter," which allows for make-up that changes color depending on the movement of light.

As I wandered the bustling intergalactic crowd, I got chatting with some local drag queens. There was Luna, whose act centered around an amazing interpretive dance incorporating laser lights and ethereal vocal performances - utterly mesmerising!

Apparently, Luna's been doing drag for almost 60 years and told me about her life as a drag queen here on earth. She was, unsurprisingly, a die-hard drag fan from the early days! I even bumped into some fabulous transhuman drag queens from a distant world - they were just a dream, showcasing an array of cyborg technology that made them shimmer and gleam in truly awe-inspiring ways. Their fashion was totally mind blowing, using body modifications to create stunning illusions. They gave a whole new meaning to “wearing your heart on your sleeve!”

This day trip was a dazzling display of how the world of drag has truly blossomed into an out-of-this-world extravaganza! You know me, always keen on a challenge - I might need to find a way to get a space-tutu. Perhaps next month I'll time-travel to 2060 to get a sneak peek at the fashion.

But for now, darlings, let me know your thoughts! Tell me your most fabulous space-related fantasies. Are you longing to see the stars? Dreaming of your own galactic glam squad? Let me know what your next pink-tutu trip should be, you lovely lot!

Love,

Emma 💖
