Pink Tutu Time Travels: 4th April 2018 – A Royal Ballet Celebration!

Post Number 4288 – www.pink-tutu.com

Hello my darling ballet bunnies! Welcome back to Pink Tutu Time Travels. It’s your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, here, and I'm positively bursting with excitement to share this month's journey with you all! As always, my faithful companion, Magic Meg – the most fabulous, sparkly pink Shire horse you've ever laid eyes on – is all saddled up and ready for a trip through time!

Now, for our latest adventure, I decided to stay closer to home, figuratively speaking. Today, we're not soaring through the ages, but rather hopping over to London, where a very special ballet event took place on the 4th of April 2018! Can you guess what it was?

Well, dear readers, we're taking a trip to the Royal Opera House, where the world's premier ballet company, The Royal Ballet, was performing one of my absolute favourites - Giselle. Oh, I tell you, it's such a gorgeous piece – filled with breathtaking dancing, heartbreaking love, and the most ethereal spirits!

Now, before we talk about the performance itself, let me tell you about my look. This time, I wanted to be in full "royal" spirit, so I slipped into a glorious, blush-pink tutu with sparkling diamantes all around – truly a fit for a ballet princess! It was perfectly paired with a silk, pink top that flowed beautifully with every turn. You just have to believe me, dear readers – I looked absolutely exquisite!

Magic Meg, bless her sparkly hooves, is such a good girl. She knew we were on a mission for inspiration, so she trotted all the way to London, not a single complaint!

Stepping Into the Royal Ballet:

The moment we arrived at the Covent Garden Opera House, a sense of magic washed over me. It's just such an iconic building with its rich history and grandeur! Even from the outside, it makes me feel all warm and tingly, just like a first dance in a ballet class!

Once inside, the air thrummed with anticipation. Elegant ladies and dapper gents were excitedly settling into their plush seats. Everyone was abuzz about the performance and ready to be transported by the beautiful world of ballet.

Then, the lights dimmed, and the orchestra began the stirring music – ah, such exquisite sound! And when the dancers took the stage, my heart soared!

Now, I wouldn't dream of spoiling the surprise for you all! I'm talking a whole two and a half hours of dazzling talent, grace, and pure emotion! It was truly a night to remember.

The highlight, for me, was definitely the dancing. The female dancers were so elegant, and the male dancers so strong – a perfect harmony of feminine and masculine power! Every movement flowed so naturally – a real testament to their rigorous training!

You know I can't leave a ballet performance without doing some very discreet shopping, of course. This time, my bag was brimming with beautiful programme pamphlets (they're excellent for vintage fashion inspiration!), photos of the star dancers, and even a little porcelain figurine of Giselle herself – just look at her exquisite pose!

Now, for all of you budding ballet fashionistas out there, you'll be thrilled to hear that 2018's Royal Ballet "Giselle" production had a beautiful, ethereal design, true to the romantic ballet spirit. Flowing, pastel tutus in soft, dreamy shades, coupled with beautifully draped male costumes, were just divine!

Spreading the Tutu Love:

I'm all about bringing a touch of elegance and grace to the world – that’s why I'm so committed to sharing my love of ballet and making it accessible for everyone! Who says ballet can’t be fun and exciting?

Remember, dear readers, ballet isn’t just about intricate steps and grand performances. It's a story, it's emotion, and it's the power of movement to uplift and inspire. And most importantly, it's about wearing that perfect, dreamy pink tutu!

Until next month, darlings! Keep your toes pointed and your spirits high. Remember, every single one of you has the potential to be a dancing star!

And who knows where our next adventure might take us – might just be a hop to Vienna, or perhaps even a whirlwind trip to 18th century Paris!

Until next time, dear ballet bunnies – you are the only thing sweeter than a sprinkle of pink sugar!

With love, Emma www.pink-tutu.com
