Pink Tutu Time Travel - Post #4524 - 12th December 2037

Hello lovelies! Emma here, back from another whirlwind adventure through the annals of ballet history. Today, I'm channeling all the magic of December 12th, 2037 – a day packed with beautiful stories waiting to be spun! I'm just about to catch my breath after leaping off of Magic Meg, my magnificent pink shire horse with her golden hooves and white mane that glistens like a sugarplum fairy. She’s definitely a horse that deserves to wear a pink tutu (you just need to see her prance!).

Before we dive into all the amazing things that were happening in the ballet world this very date in the year 2037, let me take a moment to thank you for being here! I absolutely love connecting with you every month here on Pink Tutu, sharing my time-travelling ballet adventures. It’s simply magical, truly. Now, on with the show!

A Ballet World Whirlwind

I’ve been absolutely smitten with all things ballet lately. Honestly, just the sheer talent and beauty that I witnessed on December 12th, 2037 was utterly mesmerising. Did you know that today was the day of the grand opening of the Royal Ballet School's new training facility in Birmingham? Imagine, state-of-the-art studios in a building designed by world-renowned architect, Emma Chilton!

And, hold onto your tutus, darlings, because The Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow hosted a dazzling ballet gala! The performance featured internationally renowned ballerinas like Natalia Osipova, Alina Cojocaru, and Misty Copeland, absolutely killing it with their grace and technical brilliance. Imagine having access to a line-up like that!

The joy, excitement, and elegance of these events was absolutely infectious, but it's not just about the grand events. Even smaller companies were blossoming. Today was The Royal Ballet’s first performance of **“The Nutcracker" this season at The Royal Opera House in London, a classic that never gets old!

Back to My Own World - The Past Meets the Present

From my time travelling adventures I’ve returned to my little Derbyshire cottage where I love relaxing after my adventures, dreaming up new ballet routines, and reflecting on the incredible stories I gather from all the time periods I’ve visited. It’s all about combining the magic of the past with the energy of the present, right?

My latest treasures, carefully collected from the year 2037, include a beautiful programme from the gala at The Bolshoi. Its delicate embroidery features intricate pink ribbons intertwining with shimmering gold threads, just my style, really! The pages are adorned with stunning photos of the ballerinas in exquisite tutus that wouldn't be out of place on a vintage Paris runway.

I’ve also got an interesting copy of “Dance Magazine” dated December 2037, complete with articles that capture the vibrant ballet scene in 2037, talking about the rising stars, a wonderful new dance school opening up in Shanghai, and some exciting developments with virtual reality training. My favorite part? There’s a stunning shot of an ethereal pink tutu, reminiscent of one from a Parisian dance salon! This little magazine will go right up on the wall of my studio - right beside a gorgeous picture of that magical, shimmering pink tutu!

But more than just beautiful treasures, my travels to December 12th, 2037 have made me reflect deeply on the powerful bond between dancers from all corners of the globe. No matter where you are, ballet is a shared passion and a common language, one that inspires, uplifts, and makes the world a more beautiful place!

My Pink Tutu Challenge

Just like every month, I'm challenging you, my lovely ballet buddies, to channel your inner ballerina and do something special, embrace the spirit of 2037 with me! Take a class, attend a show, share a lovely dance with a friend - do whatever ignites that special passion within you! Let’s spread that love and beauty everywhere we go.

Because as the saying goes, if you want a magical dance experience, be the one who twirls it!

See you next month for more incredible time travelling adventures in a pink tutu!

Lots of love,

Emma
