#PinkTutuBlogLondon - Post #98 - A Tutu-ful Friday in London!

Oh darling! It's Friday, and you know what that means... it's Pink Tutu Blog London time!

This week, I traded my quaint Derbyshire countryside for the bustling streets of London town, travelling by train, of course. You wouldn't catch me flying on a plane – a train allows for a much more graceful arrival, don't you think?

Now, if you've been following my blog for a while, you'll know that London holds a special place in my heart. There's something about the city that just makes my heart sing! The energy, the history, the fashion, the incredible shows... it's all just too much to handle, in the best possible way!

This time, I embarked on a whirlwind adventure packed with tutus, theatre, and some seriously stunning outfits. And of course, every good day begins with a sprinkle of pink!

My Day in Pink

Before I even left the house, my pink ballet bag was carefully prepped. Pink lipstick, a dash of pink blush, and a few sparkly pink accessories – no outfit is complete without a touch of pink, darling!

This morning, I was up at the crack of dawn. I knew I needed to make the most of the day and had big plans in mind! Luckily, I found the most divine pink macarons at a cute little cafe by the station. Who could resist such pink perfection?

I arrived in London feeling a little overwhelmed, but with a few swishes of my pink tutu and a deep breath, I felt ready to conquer the city. I must say, Londoners seemed rather amused by my twirls as I waltzed down the station steps. Let’s be honest, it’s not every day you see a pink tutu bouncing around!

Shopping Extravaganza!

I've always said that London is a haven for any fashionista! From the designer boutiques of Bond Street to the vintage gems of Portobello Road, this city has something to offer everyone, even those who like a splash of pink (wink).

My first stop? Of course, a little tutu shopping. Can you imagine a ballerina without a new tutu? I was positively delighted to stumble upon a tiny, independent boutique nestled in Covent Garden, overflowing with the most glorious selection of tulle. I emerged from there with a brand-new pink tutu that just screams “London in bloom” and some dazzling earrings to match.

I then made my way down Oxford Street to get my shopping fix. I've gotta tell you, those sales in the summer are absolute magic! A pink handbag, a stunning floral top (which, I just know, would look gorgeous paired with my new tutu!), and a pair of sparkly, pink-toned ballet flats later, I felt completely ready for my evening!

A Night at the Theatre

After a pitstop for a delightful afternoon tea – pink macarons were, of course, part of the deal! – it was time to embrace the magic of London theatre!

The West End has a show for everyone, but this time, I was captivated by a mesmerising rendition of Swan Lake at the Royal Opera House. I am still awestruck! It’s truly the most breathtaking ballet, full of elegant pirouettes and flowing leaps. It's the kind of show that takes your breath away, and makes you dream of dancing under the spotlights.

Speaking of dreams... It has always been my secret ambition to grace the stage in the West End! You never know what might happen... Maybe, just maybe, I will become the world's most famous pink tutu ballerina someday!

Back to Reality

I can't deny that London wears me out, but in the most wonderful way! After such a fabulous day, it's lovely to climb onto a train, snuggled into a cozy carriage, and leave the city lights behind.

My journey back to Derbyshire, however, isn't all about rest. It's filled with a myriad of new ideas for #PinkTutuBlogLondon and the inspiration to get my tutu twirling in my ballet classes back home!

Now, let’s talk about what's happening on this Friday, 17th of July 1998! I don’t want you missing out on any events happening near you, so here’s a little insight:

  • The famous Wimbledon Championships are underway! You've got to see those talented tennis stars battling it out for the trophy! The energy is electric. And what's even more delightful? If you’re lucky, you might spot someone wearing pink!

  • In London, you can head to Hyde Park and experience the “Hyde Park Jazz and Classical Music Concert Series,” featuring the very talented ‘Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’. Imagine the beauty!

  • There are, of course, countless shows taking place all over London. If you're looking for a great night out, you could find yourself giggling along to "Annie" or "Les Miserables,” or, for a more contemporary and exciting show, why not see the highly acclaimed "Chicago".

Spread the Tutu Love!

Now, let's spread some pink love and make it a tutu-fully fantastic week! I challenge you all to grab a pink tutu, twirl around your local park, or even strut it on the streets with confidence. You'd be surprised at the number of smiles you'll receive.

Remember, you'll find me online next Friday, back in my little Derbyshire world, for another #PinkTutuBlogLondon adventure. Until then, don’t forget to shine bright and remember... the world is your stage!

Love and pink wishes,

Emma
