Pink Tutu Blog London: #134 - A Tutu-tastic Friday in London!

Hello, my darlings! Emma here, your favourite pink tutu-wearing, ballet-loving blogger, and it's Friday, which means it's time for another London adventure!

This week, I left my quaint little Derbyshire village at the crack of dawn, all aboard a charming red train that took me to London's bustling Paddington station. I always adore travelling by train - there's something so romantic and magical about chugging along with the English countryside rushing by the windows. I just wish I could wear my tutu on the train - it would be such a statement! But hey, I don't want to scare the commuters, do I? ?

So, after settling in to my London pad - a delightful flat in Kensington that's only a stone's throw from Harrods! - I decided to hit the streets and soak up all the amazing energy that this wonderful city has to offer. Today was all about exploring!

A London Ballet Crawl

First stop was the beautiful Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. The architecture is just breathtaking - so grand and imposing, yet elegant and charming all at the same time. The ballet shows here are simply divine, and today was no exception! I had a ticket to see The Nutcracker and it was magical. Tchaikovsky's music is truly something else, and the dancers, oh, they were so graceful and mesmerizing! There was a whole troop of little ballerinas on stage and they looked absolutely adorable, reminding me of how much I love to twirl and pirouette.

But that wasn't all, darling! Covent Garden itself is a treasure trove of amazing shops and restaurants. I was lucky to stumble upon this darling vintage shop that had the most fabulous selection of hats, gloves and shoes. I just couldn't resist, so I treated myself to a pair of pristine white gloves, perfect for adding that touch of elegance to my pink tutu, you see!

Street Art and High Street Chic

After my delightful time in Covent Garden, I decided to wander towards Shoreditch - it's my favourite area of London! This area is all about creativity and style, so naturally, I had to explore the many, many fantastic street art murals that adorn the walls. I mean, come on, how amazing are the colours and the bold artwork! It just screams individuality and creativity, which is totally my thing! I took loads of photos for my Instagram, of course, so keep your eyes peeled!

Now, who needs a museum when you can find artistic treasures right on the street? ? As the afternoon rolled in, I decided to go shopping! What can I say, a girl's gotta shop, right?

Oh my goodness, I just have to share my discovery of this hidden gem! I found a charming little boutique that was bursting with vintage clothes, including the most gorgeous velvet jacket in the most stunning shade of pink! Let's just say I'm wearing it right now, as I type this, and it is absolutely fabulous! This jacket screams “Parisian Chic” but with a touch of that classic English vintage charm, and, you guessed it - it matches my tutu perfectly!

From Ballet to the Stage

No London day is complete without some theatre, so as dusk began to settle over the city, I found myself back in the West End, eagerly waiting to witness the beauty of Chicago at the Adelphi Theatre. Oh, my dears! The musical, the music, the costumes, everything! So glamorous and stylish. Honestly, I felt like I was watching a dream unfold right before my eyes. Even the jazz music gave me the urge to twirl around and shimmy in my tutu!

And what did I learn today? I learned that London truly is a city for everyone! Whether you love ballet, street art, shopping or theatre, you can find your little slice of happiness here.

Speaking of happiness, how about some more fashion tips? Don't forget that you can always look amazing even when wearing casual clothing, and never be afraid to show your own personal style - whether you prefer to wear a pink tutu or just a pop of pink on your handbag, embrace what makes you unique.

Remember, my darlings, every day is a new opportunity to express yourself and enjoy the beauty of life! I’m going to leave you now as it's late, but don’t forget to follow me on my blog, my socials and check out the rest of the fun on my Instagram feed! Until next time!

Lots of Love,

Emma xx
