Hello darlings! Emma here, and oh my goodness, it's been another week, another fabulous adventure, another pink tutu moment. I know you're all desperate to hear all about my latest exploits, so let's get started, shall we? Today I’m going to whisk you along with me on a whirlwind tour of London, because my darling friends, this week’s adventures are full of PINK! LONDON! AND TUTUS!
A Pink Train Ride to the City
I simply cannot get over the magic of travelling by train! It feels like a little journey back to my childhood, when all things seemed possible and the world held a million untold secrets waiting to be uncovered. As usual, I left my little Derbyshire town feeling giddy as a girl on a sugar rush. I had on my most beautiful pink tutu, you know, the one with the frills that just whisper “dreamy adventure" – it seemed fitting for such a magical adventure, don't you think? I sat by the window, watching the green English countryside zip past, lost in my own world of tulle and sequins and fantasies of dazzling London stages!
A Morning of Ballet Inspiration
As soon as I arrived at Paddington Station, a place that truly vibrates with the pulse of London life, I knew this day was going to be pink-tastic! My first stop was at the Royal Opera House – how divine! I always feel a surge of pure magic walking through those doors. Today, they were staging the final performance of The Sleeping Beauty. Honestly, there was no better place to be in the world! As I took my seat, I couldn’t resist whipping out my notebook and making some sketches – maybe one day, I’ll even have a ballet production of my very own. Just imagine: Pink tutus, dancing in the moonlight, everyone’s dreaming together in a cloud of sparkling pink tulle. Who could ask for anything more?!
Shopping and Sequins - A Girl's Gotta Shine!
No visit to London is complete without a good dose of retail therapy, so naturally, I headed to Harrods next! Oh, the thrill of it all! Rows and rows of shimmering fabrics, designer shoes, and of course, pink! I couldn't resist a couple of fabulous buys. I mean, a girl has to have some sparkle, right? You’d never believe the most beautiful pink feathered bolero I found! Imagine this, darlings, worn with my sparkling pink tutu over a silk blouse. It's perfect for the upcoming ballet season, it’s like a whirlwind of femininity swirling around me! I can't wait to see it on the London stages - or better yet, maybe in a future photo shoot.
Theatre, Dancing, and Pink Feathers
As the evening arrived, I made my way to the London Coliseum to watch “Anything Goes”. It was so much fun - the energy of a live performance is utterly infectious, and it reminds me why I love the magic of the theatre so much. It’s not only the costumes, the songs, the lights and the dancing but the sheer magic of the shared experience that pulls me in. For me, the show was all about celebrating the joy of music and dancing. You can't resist swaying and tapping your feet! They even had a song with an incredible PINK FEATHER BOA - I literally had to resist the urge to run on stage and join the party! My pink tutu was calling out to dance! I'm so grateful that there’s so much going on in the London theatre world to feed my soul, keep my passion ignited and fill my days with laughter.
Pink Dreams on the Streets of London
My day ended in Covent Garden, where the streets come alive with street performers, bustling markets and the scent of the freshest flowers imaginable! What’s more London than a flower stall spilling over with pink and red roses? I’d spotted a group of people enjoying a beautiful live jazz concert. A trumpet player had the most fabulous pink feather boa round his neck – another great way to spread my pink love! As the sunset dipped below the city skyline, a quiet thought crept into my mind: "Pink tutus for everyone!".
And that’s where my darling friends, I leave you this week, bathed in the pink hues of London dreams! The city was buzzing with energy, just like my little pink tutu heart. Be sure to catch me back here next week for another dose of all things pink and fantastic - maybe we’ll even do a PINK TUTU London tour… It could just be the start of a revolution!
**Pink Hugs,
Emma**
