Hello lovelies!
It's Friday again, and I'm back in my favourite city in the whole wide world – London! 💖 The train journey was as usual, an absolute dream. I can't tell you how much I adore train travel, the rhythm of the tracks, the soft whir of the carriages, and the endless view flying past the window. Plus, it gives me ample opportunity to perfect my tutus for the weekend's shenanigans. Speaking of shenanigans… today's agenda is jam-packed with all things glamorous, girly, and good fun!
As some of you may know, I'm lucky enough to fund my love of travel with my ballet performances. This week, I was lucky enough to secure a spot in the gorgeous "The Sleeping Beauty" at the Derby Theatre. It was a fantastic show, and it felt amazing to grace the stage once again in my tutu! But even though I was dancing to the rhythm of the Sleeping Beauty's curse, my heart was already dancing with anticipation for my London adventures.
Now, let's talk about what London has in store for me this week! You know I adore a bit of ballet, so we're starting the day off with a ballet class at Pineapple Dance Studios! It's always a fabulous experience - the energy is electric, the teachers are inspiring, and I get to wear my pink tutu (naturally!) - what more could I ask for?
This afternoon, I'm heading to Liberty London, that fabulous department store with the most charming Tudor exterior. I’m hoping to unearth some seriously stylish vintage treasures. Maybe even a vintage pink tutu! That would be the icing on the cake, wouldn't it?
Speaking of vintage, I'm absolutely smitten with the vintage clothes scene in London. There are so many hidden gems to be found tucked away in charming boutiques, and I love scouring them for unique pieces to add to my collection. Did I tell you I’m obsessed with finding pink things? I once wore pink leggings to a birthday party - they got more compliments than the actual birthday girl, true story!
In the evening, I’m looking forward to seeing a performance of "The Phantom of the Opera." You know me – I just love a good show! And this is an absolute classic! The music, the romance, the dramatic setting, and oh the costumes... I simply cannot wait to experience the grandeur of this theatre classic! It might be an extra touch of magic to complete a weekend full of twirls and whimsy!
Now, to be perfectly honest, my Friday schedule may be packed full of tutus and twirling, but it doesn't mean we're ditching the proper London adventures, lovelies!
There's just something magical about exploring London’s iconic landmarks, even if they do bring a few extra pink tutus with me. I'm planning to grab a cup of tea and a slice of Victoria sponge cake at The Ritz in the afternoon, after the ballet class. You know, a proper British afternoon treat - but of course, I'll be sipping tea and taking in the decadent ambiance wearing a perfectly pink tutu. After all, life is simply too short to let the chance to wear a tutu pass by, even if it is for a sophisticated afternoon tea!
Tomorrow's going to be filled with more exploring – Piccadilly Circus, the British Museum, and maybe a quick trip to the Natural History Museum for a quick cuddle with the dinosaurs! What's not to love? I’m definitely going to stop by my favourite boutique in Covent Garden for some stylish treats. You know, the kind of treasures you can't find anywhere else - that’s one of the things I love most about London, the endless possibilities to express my unique style!
To make the perfect London trip complete, I just can't go home without a few hours browsing Harrods, that quintessential London store. What better place to spend a couple of hours searching for the perfect pink accessory, perhaps even a fluffy pink hat for my weekend travels.
I love everything about London! The culture, the fashion, the history, the vibrant atmosphere… oh and definitely the opportunity to wear my tutus everywhere I go, just because it feels right!
And as always, I encourage you all to find your own perfect way to spread joy and a touch of pink magic wherever you go. There’s something truly special about being brave and dressing up in pink tutus – it takes courage and confidence! And when you feel confident and fearless, anything is possible!
