Pink Tutu Blog London: Post #240 - A Whirlwind Friday in the Capital! 🩰🌸

Hello my darlings! It's Emma, back from another glorious adventure in London! As always, the excitement of a weekend away in the Big Smoke just gets me giddy! And as always, it's Friday and time for a new Pink Tutu Blog post! This week I’m back in London after a fab train journey from Derbyshire, it's the perfect excuse to put on my fanciest tutu for a bit of city magic. You know I can't resist a good train journey, especially when I’m heading for some London theatre!

From Platform to Performance

It was such a joy to wake up knowing a big day of exploring London was just a short train ride away. The excitement had me practically skipping to the station in my little pink tutu, a pink floral bag bouncing at my side.

The train ride was bliss. I’ve always loved gazing out of the train window as we pass through the English countryside, watching the green fields slowly give way to urban sprawl. Of course, I made sure to wear a lovely floral-patterned dress for the journey (one with a vintage feel, because why not add some glamour to my daily commute? 😉). And don’t forget the lipstick – bright pink, naturally! My mantra is: If you're feeling good, let your outfits show it!

London Calling: A Friday of Ballet & Boutiques

London always welcomes me with open arms! I’d pre-booked tickets to the Royal Opera House, and it was absolutely divine. The ballet performance was a modern piece, filled with energy and incredible choreography, and it left me wanting more! The feeling of the whole theatre filled with passion for dance was simply breathtaking.

But a girl’s got to indulge in a little bit of London retail therapy! After the ballet, I wandered through Covent Garden, taking in the hustle and bustle of the street performers and the beautiful flower stalls.

You’d be surprised at what hidden gems you can find! I unearthed an exquisite little boutique, overflowing with vintage-inspired clothes and accessories – I just couldn’t resist a few new additions to my wardrobe! I snagged a pair of stunning red platform heels – absolutely perfect for a special evening out.

I did, of course, find myself a gorgeous pink silk scarf to complete the look. It was the perfect accessory, adding a little touch of my favourite colour to my outfit! Because a little bit of pink always lifts your spirits!

Dining with Delight

No London adventure would be complete without some proper English grub, right? After my shopping spree, I headed to a little café with the most charming pink floral wallpaper and the most delicious cupcakes I’ve ever tasted. Pink, naturally!

And for the evening? I ventured to the theatre, of course! On my schedule was the "The Mousetrap". Such an iconic play and so brilliantly performed. The energy and suspense were captivating!

A Pink Tutu Filled Day

I am a strong believer that life is simply too short for dull days! My Friday in London was pure magic! A perfect blend of elegant performances, vintage finds, and enough pink to make a flamingo jealous!

And the best part? Sharing this pink-tastic journey with all of you! So stay tuned for more pink tutu adventures, from London and beyond. After all, what’s life without a bit of pink magic, a good pair of heels, and a fantastic tutu?

Keep shining,

Emma

Pink Tutu P.S. Did you know April 6th is the day of "Tutu Day"? It’s a day where people are encouraged to wear tutus in honor of the beautiful, graceful art of ballet! This year, make sure to grab your fanciest tutu and spread some pink joy!

Pink Tutu P.P.S. Did you catch my recent ballet performance? It was in insert your last ballet performance location and date. You can see a sneak peek of the show on my Instagram! I can’t wait for the next one!

Until next week, stay pink, my friends!
