Hello darlings! It's Friday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog post! I'm so excited to share with you all my adventures from a trip to London last weekend, which was simply divine. Honestly, I’m starting to think London is my new favourite city, which is saying something because Derby holds a special place in my heart, you know?
Train Travel, A Touch of Romance 🚄
I've been eagerly awaiting this trip ever since I snagged those tickets. There's something utterly romantic about train journeys, don't you think? It's the anticipation, the scenery whizzing by, the gentle rocking, and the excitement for what awaits.
Plus, the journey was practically a runway show! My favourite pink tutu (it's the one with the gorgeous satin bow at the back, you know the one!) was the perfect choice for a comfy yet chic travel outfit. I paired it with a chic pink sweater, some trusty ballet flats, and, of course, my signature pink pearl necklace. Honestly, I was turning heads the whole journey! 🥰
First Impressions: London in a Pink Haze ✨
Once I arrived in London, I was simply swept away by the buzz! I immediately felt the energy and excitement in the air. Everything was just so vibrant!
I stayed in a charming little boutique hotel near Hyde Park, and the moment I stepped inside, I knew I was going to feel right at home. It was decorated in a light pink and floral wallpaper, which had the perfect touch of whimsical charm, much like my favourite tutu! 🩰

As soon as I checked in, I couldn't resist grabbing my camera and exploring the city. And oh, how much there was to explore!

The Royal Opera House: Where Dreams Take Flight 🎭
A ballet trip wouldn't be complete without a visit to the world-famous Royal Opera House. This is a real architectural gem and just oozing with history, so it's no wonder it's my favourite place in London.
Honestly, even just being in the building, soaking in the energy, gave me goosebumps. I even peeked into the shop and treated myself to a stunning pair of opera glasses with little pink feathers, to add some sparkle to my ballet-themed style. 😉
Afternoon Tea at The Ritz 🍰
No visit to London is complete without a classic afternoon tea. I picked a beautiful spot at The Ritz – what's more stylish than a fancy afternoon tea, I ask you? I got to dress up in my new pink floral dress, perfect for a bit of London glamour.
The cakes were delectable – delicate finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, and the cutest mini-macarons. The whole experience felt like something out of a fairytale!
Shopping for Style & Inspiration 🛍️
London is a paradise for fashionistas like me, with streets bursting with vibrant colours, exquisite window displays, and chic boutiques.
From Knightsbridge's luxury offerings to Oxford Street's more affordable fashion finds, I found myself captivated by the world of fashion. I picked up a delicate lace scarf in the prettiest pale pink hue and a pair of glamorous statement earrings – after all, a bit of sparkle always elevates a look!
Evening Sparkle: The West End Showstopper! 🌟
My evening started with a trip to one of London's famous theaters, with a show in the West End that I’d been excited to see for ages!
Now, I'm no stranger to the stage, you see, being a ballerina myself. But this show blew my mind! I'm not going to spoil anything, but let’s just say there were incredible dance sequences, stunning costumes, and music that just swept you off your feet. It left me feeling inspired and ready to embrace my inner dancer! 🩰
A City that Makes You Dream
By the time I returned to my little hotel, I was utterly charmed by London. It was the perfect mix of grandeur, charm, and a touch of whimsy. It's no surprise that so many talented performers, creatives, and dreamers choose this city to call home!
