Pink Tutu Blog London: Post 350 - A Whirlwind Friday in the Capital!

Hello darlings!

It's Friday, and you know what that means - it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog London adventure! I'm so excited to be sharing all the girly goodness from my trip to the big smoke this week, as it's always a proper treat to experience all the exciting things London has to offer. This week I took the train from Derbyshire, which I always find so relaxing. It's like a mini break in itself, you can just sit back, admire the view, and dream of all the pink tutus I might find in the shops.

Speaking of pink tutus, I can't help but share a little secret: my aim in life is to get everyone in the world to wear one. I mean, who doesn't love a bit of twirl and a splash of colour? It's simply the most joyful, empowering piece of clothing you could possibly own. 😉

London calling!

This week, I was so delighted to find myself surrounded by the bustling energy of London! I always feel a little flutter of excitement when I step off the train and breathe in the city air. This Friday was no exception - a whirlwind of vibrant sights, sounds, and scents. Let me tell you, it was a real girly dream day.

First stop, of course, was Covent Garden, that beautiful little corner of the city where the street performers are out in force, and the shops are absolutely bursting with beautiful things. I picked up the most divine scarf at Liberty, it’s such a beautiful vintage floral pattern, you just know it’ll go with every single thing in my wardrobe! I just couldn’t leave without it!

But my absolute favourite thing about Covent Garden, well besides all the adorable tea rooms of course, is Royal Opera House. I'm completely obsessed with all things ballet and just being close to such an iconic venue was incredible!

After a proper spot of window shopping, it was time for some fuel to keep me twirling! I stumbled upon this incredible tea shop in a little hidden courtyard called The Duchess of Cambridge Tea Room. You could hardly believe how pink everything was! The walls were painted a blush pink, they served all sorts of pink cocktails and macaroons, and they had all these vintage teacups and plates with tiny pink flowers. They even had a cute pink floral tablecloth! I couldn’t resist a lovely afternoon tea with little finger sandwiches and tiny cakes!

Let’s talk theatre!

It wouldn't be a proper London day without a theatrical experience! The evening was all about catching the Royal Ballet's Swan Lake. Oh my word, you wouldn't believe how breathtaking it was! The costumes, the dancing, the music… everything was utterly spectacular. The story of love, betrayal, and swans made my heart soar. If you ever have the chance to see the Royal Ballet in London, you have to go! I promise, you won't be disappointed!

I think this whole experience gave me such a sense of inspiration and creativity, that when I got home I decided I needed to make myself a little tutu! My little London trip definitely spurred on my love of all things girly!

The little details...

And, what would a day out in London be without a little bit of pampering? You know I'm a firm believer in a touch of glamour, so I treated myself to a proper mani-pedi in a little beauty salon nestled amongst the hustle and bustle. Let’s just say that my pink tutu and sparkly nails went perfectly together! 💅

Friday night feels...

As the day came to a close, and the city lights began to twinkle, I realised I couldn't have asked for a more magical day. My feet may have been tired, but my heart was brimming with happiness and inspiration.

As always, I can’t wait for you all to join me again next Friday for my next blog! And remember, wear your pink tutu with pride and let’s all spread a little joy! 💖

Until next Friday, twirl on!

Emma xx
