Pink Tutu Blog London: Post 472 - A Tutu-ful Friday in London!

Hello my gorgeous girly-girls! It's your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger, Emma, back with another London adventure, and boy, oh boy, was it a tutu-rific day! I travelled down from my little corner of Derbyshire bright and early this morning, all snuggled up in my favourite pink train carriage (they're like the unicorn of the rail system, trust me, you'll know one when you see it). It’s amazing how travelling by train always puts me in such a good mood!

I'm absolutely loving these weekend trips to London - it’s just the right amount of girly glamour to give me a fabulous week’s inspiration! It’s all thanks to my fabulous performance at The Royal Opera House last weekend, earning enough to fund my weekend adventures. What a treat! Ballet has a way of getting you everywhere – who needs a prince charming when you have a pink tutu?

Pink Paradise at Harrods

Today's itinerary? It was all about exploring London with my girly bestie, Chloe. And what better way to kick off a London adventure than with a spot of shopping at Harrods? Harrods is simply heaven on earth for any girl who loves pink, and I’m not afraid to admit that I practically danced all the way there – who needs a bus when you can twirl and bounce?

The beauty hall was the first stop, obviously. Pink nail polishes and shimmery eyeshadows galore – we were practically doing a little pirouette amongst the tester pots. After stocking up on some fabulous lip colours (in all shades of pink, of course!), we hit the fashion department. Ahem, I must confess, a rather stylish pair of pink stilettos found their way into my bag – can’t let the London girl in me miss out on those!

We finished our Harrods escapade with a delicious afternoon tea at the in-store cafe – fluffy scones, dainty finger sandwiches, and of course, the tea was perfectly pink. The cafe had the cutest decor too, with roses and delicate china – it really felt like we were transported to a whimsical tea party from a fairytale!

Seeing the Show at The Royal Ballet

But a day in London wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the theatre, would it? And no, I’m not talking about a cheesy musical, no way! It was back to the Royal Ballet for me, my home away from home! Tonight's performance was The Sleeping Beauty, my absolute favourite!

Oh, the magical costumes! The grace of the ballerinas, it’s just spellbinding! I’m always struck by the dedication and talent it takes to be a ballerina, even watching a performance like this. Every graceful gesture, every intricate movement - a reminder that behind the glitter and tulle is an incredible amount of hard work and passion. I can’t wait to get back to ballet class after this, I’m filled with inspiration!

Evening Adventures in Covent Garden

After the show, we walked through Covent Garden, the most charming part of London for a girl like me! Chloe and I found a charming little pink bakery and picked up some treats – a gorgeous cupcake with a delicate rose on top, a dainty pink meringue, and a pink-hued lemon macaron. Yum!

We spent the rest of the evening exploring Covent Garden Market, picking up a few cute accessories, browsing the quirky stalls, and soaking up the bustling atmosphere. The entire place felt like a colourful explosion of energy - a perfect way to end my London day.

What's on for the Week: Oh! It's so full of excitement!

Okay, girlies, here’s what's on my tutu schedule this week:

Monday:

  • Rehearsals! Time to get back in the studio and put in some serious hours, after my performance this weekend! I've been dreaming of playing Sugar Plum Fairy since I was a little girl. This ballet company is such a welcoming family!

Tuesday:

  • Shopping Therapy! It’s the ultimate solution to post-performance blues, right?! I've got my eye on a new ballet leotard, the softest pink you've ever seen. It's all about treating yourself after giving your heart and soul to ballet.

Wednesday:

  • Fashion photoshoot! My dear friend is launching a new clothing line with some adorable pink pieces, so of course I volunteered to model them. I've already picked out my favourite tutu to wear for the shoot!

Thursday:

  • Girl's night in! It’s all about relaxing, watching our favourite pink-hued movies, and eating popcorn with sprinkles on top. I've found a really good pink popcorn recipe on the internet, with homemade pink sugar syrup!

Friday:

  • Ballet class! Nothing makes me feel more alive than a great ballet class! And since Friday’s the best day to go shopping for pretty tutus, we’ll grab a treat from my favourite local pink bakery afterwards!

So, how about you, lovelies? What are your weekend plans? Let me know in the comments below, and be sure to join me next week for another Pink Tutu Blog London adventure. Until then, stay twirly and keep spreading that pink joy!

XOXO Emma
