Pink Tutu Blog London - Post #655 - A Friday Fling with the City
Hello my dearest tutu-loving darlings! It's Friday, and you know what that means… a brand new Pink Tutu Blog post fresh from London! I've packed my pinkest suitcase and hopped aboard the train, leaving my Derbyshire haven for the vibrant streets of London. This time, I'm here for a weekend full of ballet brilliance, exciting shows, and a dash of fabulous shopping!
It's a whirlwind of excitement. Stepping out of the train station feels like bursting into a beautiful stage set. The crisp London air already feels buzzing with possibility. My heart leaps with joy – the city is calling to my inner ballerina. My tutus are poised to twirl through the streets, and I can’t wait to see what adventures this Friday fling will bring!
I must tell you, the journey was a pure delight! There's something about a train journey that inspires creative thought and dreams of twirling across the countryside. My tutu, of course, was on full display – it’s the only way to travel in style! Fellow passengers smiled and chuckled, and a little girl even pointed excitedly at my perfectly pink petticoats. Mission accomplished: spreading the joy of tutus one train journey at a time!
Before I head to my first ballet class, a little pink-tinged treat is in order! London always offers such delectable delights, and today’s pick is the enchanting “Pink Spot” café. The walls are adorned with pastel pink roses, the coffee smells heavenly, and my choice of a strawberry and cream cupcake is just about the sweetest start to a London day.
Now, my tutu-loving darlings, let’s get into the heart of why I'm here in London! It’s ballet, ballet, ballet! I’ve snagged a spot at the legendary Sadler’s Wells for a spectacular performance of Swan Lake. Oh, the excitement! There’s something magical about seeing ballet in this city, with its rich history and renowned ballet scene. It truly elevates the experience to another level.
Of course, no trip to London is complete without some sartorial indulgences. Today, I'm headed to Covent Garden for a dose of retail therapy. It’s not just any shopping though, it’s Pink Tutu Shopping! Imagine the joy: browsing through shops that ooze sophistication and charm, and discovering perfect little gems that match my love for all things pink! A tutu-approved fashion spree is an essential part of every London adventure.
This evening, I’m feeling the London theatre fever. A theatrical treat awaits at the National Theatre! Tonight's show is "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," and I'm so excited to delve into this captivating play. The theatre always sparks an amazing sense of wonder, a thrilling journey through emotions, and it perfectly complements my love for ballet's dramatic storytelling.
My day’s a delicious dance of culture, pinkness, and utter bliss. Every step in this vibrant city is an opportunity to spread the tutu love and create a dazzlingly pink ripple through London! It's not just a day in London, it's a day with my beloved tutu in the most exciting city in the world!
Stay tuned for more of my London adventures in the coming days!
Until next week, stay fabulous and twirl on, Emma

The pinkest of pink is not always the best for a daytime London outing, but you can find fabulous pink accents in London, trust me! Today, I’m pairing a pale, floral pink tutu with a delicate floral print shirt and cream-colored cardigan, all topped off with a sparkly pink bag that screams "London Style!" Let’s remember: when in doubt, pink it out!

Today, I learnt that the National Theatre had its opening in 1976. What’s the most beautiful thing you learnt this week? Share your knowledge with us!
