Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! š©°šø
Hey darlings! It's Emma, your resident pink tutu enthusiast, and guess what? I'm back in London! After weeks of pirouetting my way across Derbyshire, it's time for another London adventure. I'm bursting with excitement ā the capital is just buzzing with creativity and colour, and that's my kind of atmosphere!
As you know, I'm a bit obsessed with London. The city feels like a massive stage, always ready for the next big show. And believe me, this weekās got some truly dazzling performances lined up.
Train Travel & London Fashion
This time, I opted for the train ā gotta embrace the British public transport experience, right? I was already planning my London looks, and let me tell you, nothing makes a statement quite like a pink tutu and a fab pair of heels while strolling through Kingās Cross station. Of course, I paired it with my favourite vintage pink trench coat and a fluffy, cloud-white clutch. And the best part? A young chap on the train mistook me for a dancer on my way to a show. You can imagine my delight! It just goes to show, you never know where a little bit of pink can take you.
My Friday London To-Do List:
The weekendās packed! Today I'm already tickling my fancy with a morning visit to the Royal Ballet Shop on Covent Garden. (If you haven't been, it's a must! So much inspiring gear!). After that, I'm making my way to the theatre to see The Sound of Music. I've always adored Julie Andrews, and seeing the show live just promises to be magical!
Pink-Tutu-fied London Style:
I know what youāre thinking - London fashion. Well, this city always pushes the boundaries, doesnāt it? I saw a truly breathtaking dress earlier in Harrods - all swishy layers of chiffon in a coral hue, practically begging to be worn with a matching tutu.
But really, thereās a little bit of pink tutu inspiration around every corner. Look at all those iconic red phone boxes, perfectly capturing a bright and sassy energy - like my very own tutu persona! You see, Londonās about expression ā pushing limits and unleashing creativity.
What I Love about London: It's All About the Shows
Okay, I canāt go without mentioning a show highlight for this weekend! I'm especially excited to see the National Theatreās production of āThe Importance of Being Earnest.ā Iām a sucker for a good witty play, and I adore Oscar Wilde's genius. I can already imagine the costumes, the sparkling dialogue ā and Iām sure thereās going to be a delicious, pink-tinged inspiration somewhere within it all.
Pink Tutu Tip of the Week: Finding your Inner Stage
Listen, everyone has a little bit of ballerina within them. Maybe you don't have a pink tutu (though you really should), but think about it. There are those times you strut your stuff, your walk full of confident energy and panache. We all have a āshowā that's unique to us. Whether itās nailing a presentation, cooking up a feast, or even just owning the sidewalk with your amazing fashion sense, embracing that inner showmanship is what brings joy and style to our everyday life.
My Pink Tutu London Secrets:
- Fashion Inspiration: Donāt be afraid to break the rules. My tip for rocking your London style? Pair something vintage (I love a good charity shop haul) with a trendy new piece. Youāll find it everywhere - check out the independent boutiques, you never know what fashion gem youāll discover!
- Pink Power: Donāt be shy to embrace the power of pink! Pink is more than just a colour - itās a vibrant declaration. Don't let anyone tell you pink isn't for you!
- Travel by Train: Take the train for a true British experience ā and itās more affordable than you think! And don't forget to wear your most fabulous tutu for a delightful trip.
- Embrace the Stage: There's something about Londonās energy that inspires performance. Even a stroll in Hyde Park becomes an elegant, choreographed experience when youāre dressed in pink tutu power.
- Be Yourself! Be unapologetically you ā the bolder and more colourful, the better. Let your personality shine!
Pink Tutu Post Script: This London trip wouldn't be possible without all the wonderful performances and audiences Iāve had the pleasure to work with in Derbyshire. Thank you all for your incredible support, especially to those who believe that the world could definitely use more pink tutus! Iāll be sharing my London show highlights in next week's blog. Until then, stay stylish and keep spreading that pink-tutu love!
Love,
Emma www.pink-tutu.com
