From Derbyshire to London by Train - All Aboard the Pink Tutu Express!
I love train travel. There's something about the rhythmic clickety-clack of the wheels and the scenic countryside whizzing past that sets my creative juices flowing. This Friday, I took the scenic route, hopping on the train from my hometown in Derbyshire with a packed rucksack full of pink tulle, ballet flats, and of course, my signature pink tutu. The train ride was as glamorous as it always is. Fellow travellers couldn't help but notice my vibrant pink tutu, and many smiles were exchanged. I just love making people happy, and my pink tutu seems to be doing just that!
The First Stop: London's Fashion Heaven - Oxford Street!
Upon arriving in London, I couldn't wait to plunge headfirst into the bustling heart of the city. The iconic London Eye twirled in the distance, inviting me to soar above the city like a graceful ballerina. First stop? The shopping mecca that is Oxford Street! My trusty tutu twirled in delight as we explored the department stores. I am absolutely mad for clothes - the more pink, the better! You'd be surprised by how much pink tulle I found adorning the mannequins in shops that you wouldn't even expect!
I was on the hunt for a new pair of ballet pumps. My little black ones were starting to look a bit worn after a season of endless dancing, and nothing can brighten up a new outfit like a fresh pair of ballerina pumps! I found the most darling pair, in a shade of blush pink that simply screamed "Emma!" and my heart skipped a beat. It felt like a dream, but it was true - they were meant to be mine! 💖
Lunch with a View at Covent Garden:
After my successful shopping spree, I couldn't resist a quick bite to eat in Covent Garden, a truly enchanting square teeming with life and laughter. As the sun beamed down upon us, I nibbled on my delightful cream tea, watching the street performers and artists fill the square with music and merriment. Covent Garden always gives me a delightful rush of inspiration, and the charmingly ornate architecture and the constant whir of activity truly transports me.
Royal Ballet: A Night of Elegant Twirls and Magical Tales
Now, you can't go to London without experiencing the brilliance of the Royal Ballet. And so, I popped my tutu on, put on my most extravagant blush pink makeup and sashayed to the Royal Opera House for a night of absolute wonder. I was mesmerized by the dancers, their movements as effortless and graceful as swans taking to the water. The tale unfolding before me was pure enchantment, and I could feel myself swaying and tapping my toes in my seat.
After the Show, A Sparkling Stroll
With the last note echoing through the hall, the enchanting world of the ballet faded away. But my excitement was only just beginning! There's something magical about walking through the London streets at night, with the city twinkling all around you. I treated myself to a celebratory cupcake at a cute little café, which of course, was decorated with pink icing. I’m not fussy, I promise!
I ambled through the twinkling streets, watching London come to life at dusk. The streetlamps cast an ethereal glow, and the city felt vibrant and full of possibilities. There was just something special in the air that only London can provide.
Back to Derbyshire, but with Memories to Last a Lifetime
As I boarded the train home, I couldn't help but smile at all the experiences I'd crammed into just one day. My pink tutu was still in tip-top shape, ready to face whatever adventures the week ahead held.
London, you are an inspiration! It is with a light heart and a head full of dreams that I say goodnight to you.

For my day in London, I chose my trusty pink tulle tutu, paired with a pretty lace top in a delicate shade of baby pink. I added some sparkle with my favourite blush pink crystal necklace. My trusty ballet flats kept my feet comfortable for a day of exploring, and I finished it all off with a simple yet chic headband with a delicate pink feather adorning it.
