This week I've traded my usual Derbyshire countryside for the vibrant energy of London. Yes, that's right, I've taken the train down to the big smoke for a whirlwind weekend of tutus, theatre, and of course, some fabulous fashion finds!
A Pink Tutu Ride to London
The train journey from Derbyshire to London was absolutely delightful. As always, I wore my trusty pink tutu - this time, a shimmering lavender number with a layer of tulle that billowed dramatically every time the train went around a bend. (It really is the best way to travel, and lets face it, who can resist a little extra sparkle while in transit?!)
A Friday In The City
I arrived in London feeling full of excitement, ready to take on the capital in my most fabulous fashion. It's amazing how quickly you feel that sense of adventure when you arrive in a new city.
My first stop? The theatre, naturally! The matinee performance of "The Lion King" was simply breathtaking. I couldn't help but feel inspired by the vibrant costumes and the energy on stage. (Although, a tutu or two would have definitely amped up the spectacle!)
After the show, it was off to Covent Garden to wander through the cobbled streets and indulge in some much needed afternoon tea. You really can't beat a spot of cream and scones when you're in the mood for something utterly divine!
London Calling For Pink Tutús
This Friday, the call for pink tutus rang out louder than ever in the heart of London! I spotted more tutus than ever before - in the theatre, in shops, and even just walking around the streets!
One lovely woman who stopped me told me she'd never even considered wearing a tutu before but after seeing me twirling happily at the theatre entrance she felt compelled to give it a go! It truly does have that power, doesn't it?
Fashion Finds & Fairy Tales
Oh, the wonders of London shopping! It's no surprise I fell head over heels with all the gorgeous fashions I saw. From vintage lace dresses to sparkling platform heels, it felt like a fairy tale coming to life!
My favorite find? A beautiful pink floral tutu dress with pockets! Just perfect for a summer evening stroll around Hyde Park, or for a fancy tea party. Honestly, if a dress was ever made for dancing under the moonlight, this is it.
The Big Ben Twirl
For the most magical London sunset ever, I chose a rooftop terrace overlooking Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. I stood there in my tutu, watching the sun sink below the horizon, feeling absolutely blessed to be a part of this incredible city.
