Pink Tutu Blog London - #879 - Friday 2013-07-05 - A Day of Dance, Drama & Delight in London!

Hello my dearest Pink Tutu Posse! It's Friday, and you know what that means… drumroll… It's Pink Tutu Blog London day! I'm so excited to share another adventure with you, this time straight from the heart of London town. The train ride up from Derbyshire was, as always, a dream. Snuggling up in my sparkly pink tutu, with my new book (a delightful romantic novel called "The Ballet Dancer's Secret") and a cuppa, felt like being in a fairytale!

As soon as I arrived in London, a feeling of sheer exhilaration washed over me. The buzz of the city, the sights, the smells… everything just sparkled! I popped into a little café right by the station for a quick bite of breakfast. I always try to fuel my body with yummy things, like pink granola and a fruit smoothie, to give me the energy I need for a big day of exploring. And today's agenda is packed, darlings!

Dancing Dreams at the Royal Opera House

First on the agenda was a visit to the magnificent Royal Opera House! Seeing a ballet here is like a dream come true for any dancer. I couldn't resist the opportunity to twirl around on the grand staircase (with a big pink smile, of course!) before I settled in for a stunning performance of 'Swan Lake'. It was exquisite, a breathtaking spectacle of beauty and grace, showcasing some of the finest ballet talent in the world. My favourite moment? When the ballerina glided across the stage, a whirlwind of gossamer-thin tulle, her tutu swirling like a dream. It almost made me want to rush back to my studio for an impromptu performance!

Fashion Interlude: Pink Tutu Dress-up Time!

Of course, a trip to London wouldn't be complete without some delightful shopping adventures! I simply couldn't resist popping into my favourite boutique near Covent Garden. It’s the most charming little shop you’ve ever seen, brimming with whimsical designs and vibrant colours, perfect for a pink-loving ballerina like myself. I managed to snag a new ballet top with a delicate pink ribbon and a super sparkly skirt, a little something to celebrate this fabulous day. It even matched my tutu perfectly! (Can you tell how excited I am about pink tutus?! I think they can transform any outfit into a fairytale).

From Stage to Screen: The magic of London Theatre

After my fashion fix, it was time to immerse myself in another side of London’s creative world – the theatre! I ventured into the West End, where the magic of live performance shines so brightly. I opted for a heartwarming show called "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder," and let me tell you, it was absolutely hilarious! I loved the clever wordplay, the delightful costumes (imagine a family with matching shades of pink!), and of course, the captivating story. Sometimes a good laugh is all you need, don't you think?

A Delicious Dinner and a Sparkling Nightcap

My stomach started rumbling, so I found a charming little Italian restaurant where I treated myself to a delectable pasta dish (with a touch of pink pepper, naturally!) As the evening wore on, I found myself strolling through the bustling streets, mesmerised by the illuminated architecture and the constant hum of London’s nightlife.

Feeling a little peckish, I stopped at a cosy café, nestled within a charming square. A glass of sparkling pink lemonade was the perfect end to a delightful day. I sat there, reflecting on the magic of London, and just how grateful I am to experience all this – the theatre, the fashion, the vibrant energy… it’s all just so inspiring.

A final Thought from the Pink Tutu Princess:

As I sit here writing this blog, tucked away in my little hotel room, with the London skyline twinkling beyond the window, I just feel so happy. To have travelled to London, to have witnessed such beauty and creativity… it fills me with joy. My love for dancing and my passion for fashion have always been a part of me, and sharing those with you all, through the Pink Tutu Blog, just feels so incredibly special.

Next week's adventure? I'm keeping it a little secret for now, but I can promise it will be a pinktastic one! Until then, remember… you are all gorgeous and magical, just like my pink tutu.

Lots of love,

Emma (aka the Pink Tutu Princess)
