Pink Tutu Blog London: #882 - A Tutu-tiful London Friday!

Hello, darlings! It's your favourite tutu-clad travel blogger, Emma, and it's Friday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog London post! Today, we're exploring the fabulous capital, where the pavements are paved with glitter and the air is thick with the scent of hot cross buns (yes, I know it's July, but one can dream!).

I'm absolutely thrilled to be here in London again! I've just arrived by train from my home in Derbyshire, and as I sat gazing out at the rolling countryside, I realised just how lucky I am to get to see these incredible sights and experience all these wonderful things. It's truly a dream come true, and it's all thanks to my ballet performances. Yes, dear readers, every performance, every pirouette and grand jeté, takes me one step closer to living my tutu-filled fantasy life!

But let's get to the real reason you're here: London! I’ve got so much planned for today. I've got my itinerary meticulously planned, all in pink, naturally. It's a jam-packed schedule of shopping, sightseeing, and – drumroll – ballet, of course!

Shopping: Where Pink is King

First stop, a spot I love to frequent: Liberty! That iconic Tudor-style department store is every pink tutu girl's dream! It’s brimming with fashion, homewares, and, importantly, vintage treasures. I always manage to find some real gems. Today, I'm on the hunt for a new tutu, one with just a touch of sparkle, for my upcoming performances.

Afterwards, I'm popping into Fortnum & Mason for some tea and finger sandwiches. I simply cannot leave London without having at least one delightful afternoon tea, even if it’s just a tiny pot of tea and a scone, all washed down with my favourite bubbly.

Dancing in the City of Lights

This evening, I'm extremely excited to be seeing "Giselle" at the Royal Opera House. "Giselle" is, of course, a true classic, and it’s the epitome of ballerina elegance. Just the thought of the beautiful costumes and the poignant storytelling makes me practically float with excitement! Afterwards, I'm off to a lovely little ballet class near Covent Garden. Just imagine, a bit of pirouette practice followed by a spot of late-night pizza – what could be better?!

The Covent Garden Theatre - a Vision of Pastel Perfection

It's simply breathtaking, don’t you think? The Theatre Royal is a masterpiece of history, charm, and classic theatre magic. It’s full of incredible hidden nooks, like secret passages leading to grand chandeliers, and I'm always on the lookout for these hidden delights, tucked away between layers of vibrant pastel tones. The walls seem to whisper of enchanting tales told beneath their ancient arches!

Oh, and don't even get me started on the fashion! Londoners are truly masters of stylish flair, from vintage elegance to cutting-edge contemporary looks. You never know what hidden sartorial delights you'll discover just by taking a walk down the street!
