My trusty little pink suitcase, adorned with a darling ballet slipper charm, is full to the brim with pretty frocks, sparkly shoes, and, of course, a dazzling array of tutus. You know me, I wouldn’t be caught dead in a dreary frock without a tutu, darling! And I just have to share this adventure with you all! 💖
From Derbyshire to London: A Tutu-tastic Train Journey!
I boarded the train bright and early this morning, all excited about my adventure. As always, I felt right at home in a carriage overflowing with bookish types and dapper gents in suits. You know how it is, the best part of a train journey is observing fellow passengers, right?! But first, let's talk about the star of the show: MY TUTU!
Today I chose my stunning blush pink tulle tutu with delicate rose embroidery, just to set the right tone for my London adventures. It practically twirled in delight as we rattled along, past picturesque rolling hills, quaint country villages, and charming towns. The feeling was…well, let's just say, positively exhilarating! The only thing missing was a live performance of "The Nutcracker" playing on the train speakers.
Arriving in the City, the Magic Begins!
Stepping off the train into London's King's Cross station, it felt like I had entered a fairytale. The air was buzzing with a palpable energy - everyone in a hurry, yet with a twinkle in their eye, an eagerness for the excitement that awaited.
Now, before I divulge my London itinerary, you know I just can't help but mention that pink tutu has the ultimate travel outfit! You can twirl, you can dance, you can stop and admire everything. It's both comfortable and stylish, and really just makes me feel good. Who wouldn’t want to explore London in a pink tutu? I know, right? 💅🏻
London Delights: Theatre, Fashion & Food
Right after checking into my charming little hotel (don't you worry, I’ll tell you all about it in a later post!) I had to satisfy a rather urgent desire – a classic London afternoon tea! It was simply divine. Scones, finger sandwiches, pastries, all beautifully presented. But the star of the show, you ask? You guessed it, more pink! My favourite strawberry jam spread, served in a vintage china cup, the ultimate pink tutu-worthy moment.
And of course, no London trip is complete without a visit to the theatre! Tonight, I’m catching "Les Misérables" at the magnificent Queen’s Theatre. Oh, I'm positively ecstatic! You just know it’s going to be incredible. I hear there's a stunning rendition of the song "I Dreamed A Dream." The sound of angelic voices and a sprinkle of magic just calls to me. Shopping Therapy for the Tutu Soul!
No, it's not the clothes shopping that makes me nervous about traveling. You see, I find that exploring new fashion markets and antique boutiques brings so much joy! I’m simply mad about anything vintage, and London is brimming with them. Oh, my darling friends, this city really does spoil a fashion enthusiast. I found this simply gorgeous pair of vintage ballet pumps, they'll be absolutely perfect with my lilac tulle tutu for my next ballet class.
My favourite London souvenir hunt? The perfect little ballet costume. Think miniature satin tutus, tiny sparkly tiaras, and little satin ballet slippers – it's positively enchanting. Every now and then, I pick up one of these tiny costumes and donate it to a little girl's orphanage – you just know they'll love them.
A Whirlwind of Fashion & Fun
The day simply flew by. I whizzed past grand landmarks like Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, feeling the thrill of this captivating city pulse through me. I savored every bite of fish and chips, every sip of creamy Earl Grey, every twirl on a sunny London street. And I had to, of course, capture all these moments in photos, don't you worry - they're coming to your social media feeds as we speak!
You can imagine my joy upon stumbling upon the beautiful Covent Garden! All the buskers and performers, the charming Victorian architecture - it’s absolutely bursting with charm! And yes, I did treat myself to some homemade gelato - it was simply delicious! Just remember, darling friends, it’s all about finding that little touch of magic in the mundane! 🍨✨
