#PinkTutuBlogLondon Friday 2014-04-04 Exploring London

Hello my dearest Tutu Tribe! It's Friday, which means it's time for a brand new #PinkTutuBlogLondon! 🎉 And guess what? I'm in London! It feels so good to be back in this vibrant, bustling city, which always makes my heart skip a beat (just like the final relevé in Swan Lake, you know what I mean?). 😉

This week I’ve travelled from Derbyshire, right down to the heart of London, via my favourite mode of transport – the train! There's something so romantic and nostalgic about the rumble of the wheels and the quiet hum of the carriage. It’s the perfect setting to daydream about tutus and upcoming performances! 🚄

Today’s adventures started bright and early, just like a perfectly-timed pirouette! After a delicious cuppa and a bite of toast, I was off on a whirlwind tour of the city!

Firstly, I couldn't resist stopping by the beautiful Covent Garden. The cobbled streets and the hustle and bustle of market life felt magical, and it even inspired a few spontaneous pliés – always gotta keep the technique going! 😉 Of course, it wouldn't be a true Tutu-in-London day without a bit of shopping. A stunning vintage brooch from a quirky market stall was the perfect addition to my pink-tutu-worthy outfit! 💕

Afterwards, I wandered down to the Thames. The iconic London Eye, Tower Bridge and the Houses of Parliament created such an incredible skyline – I could hardly stop snapping pictures for my Instagram! London is just so photogenic, and even more so with my favourite pink tutu swirling in the breeze. 🥰

My evening was all about theatre! The West End is just a dazzling kaleidoscope of lights, glamour and incredible stories, and it truly felt like I was stepping into a fairy tale. Tonight I was graced by the amazing, mesmerising production of "Wicked" - the sheer spectacle was unforgettable! 💖✨ And just in case you were wondering, my tutu definitely added a touch of sparkle to the already magical atmosphere.

Of course, a visit to the West End wouldn't be complete without some pre-show fun and a delicious dinner. The ambiance of the restaurants, the twinkling lights, the chatter around me - it was all so perfectly fitting for the Tutu lifestyle! 💖

Speaking of tutus and theatre, you guys will be so excited to hear I had an amazing time at The Royal Opera House. It’s a real dream come true for any ballerina – the history, the incredible architecture, and the pure passion that fills the building! It just reminds me of why I love what I do, and inspires me to keep practicing and performing. 💫 Plus, a new ballet production of 'Cinderella' opens tomorrow! If you get the chance, you have to check it out, it's so beautiful and inspiring! ✨

As a final treat for myself, I went for a spin in one of London's oldest traditional ice cream parlours. My "bubblegum and strawberry swirl" was absolutely delicious and, yes, you guessed it! Perfectly matched my outfit, just like the iconic Barbie in a pink convertible - don't we all secretly dream of that? 😉

I feel so grateful for every single experience I’ve had today. London is truly magical. ✨ And you know what? My heart is full of inspiration. 💖 There's no better city to unleash your creativity and channel your inner ballerina! So, my Tutu Tribe, get out there and embrace the pink life! Go ahead and wear a tutu to the grocery store, wear a tutu to a board meeting – let's bring a little bit of pink and happiness to every corner of life! 💖👑

It’s already getting late and London has just put on its best lights. As I wander back towards my hotel room, I am filled with a happy sense of calm, surrounded by the vibrant energy of London's bustling streets. My feet are aching slightly (just the right amount, right, fellow ballerinas?), but my heart is filled with joy. London really has this magic touch that fills me with a sense of wonder, a spark of excitement, a yearning for adventure, and of course, a strong urge to dance! 💃🏻 Until next time, my Tutu Tribe!
