Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! ๐Ÿฉฐ๐Ÿ’–

Hello, darlings! It's your favourite tutu-clad blogger, Emma, here, back with another exciting post from the dazzling city of London! I just had to share my whirlwind day exploring the capital, and trust me, it was a pink-tastic one!

It's been a while since I've been able to make a proper trip to London, but as you all know, ballet season is well and truly upon us, and my performances at the Derbyshire Arts Centre have been filling my dance card - and my bank account - so I thought it was high time for a little "Emma's on a London lark" trip!

I couldn't resist making the journey by train. There's something about a good old-fashioned train ride, gliding past rolling countryside, that puts me in the mood for adventure. I was especially feeling fabulous in my new pink satin tutu from my favourite haberdashery, all perfectly preened for the capital's fashion scene.

First Stop: The Ballet Box!

As soon as I arrived in London, I headed straight for my favourite place in the whole city - The Ballet Box! They have the most exquisite selection of ballet shoes, tutus, and dancewear. You'd think they were just designed to make a ballet dancer feel like a ballerina!

I actually treated myself to a new pair of pointe shoes, a gorgeous lilac pair that will look stunning on stage. (Although I know some purists like a traditional white - and it's totally a classic look - I love playing with colour. I believe dance should be about expressing your individual style!) I even spotted a pretty pink ballet bag, and I just had to snag that. Honestly, you can't ever have enough cute accessories.

Afternoon Tea Time!

You simply cannot visit London without a good afternoon tea. Today, I indulged in a "Royal Tea" at The Ritz! Honestly, darlings, it was a dream. The selection of finger sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, and endless pots of fragrant tea was truly a royal treat. And the atmosphere was absolutely divine!

Culture and a Dash of Fashion

Feeling fully caffeinated and with a delightful little sugar rush, I ventured towards the heart of London. My first stop was the National Gallery. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm an absolute fangirl when it comes to classic art, but I'm also fascinated by the artistic spirit within the fashion world. I must say, seeing those Impressionist paintings, all their light and colour, it really inspired me for the new season.

After that, it was off to a vintage store - because vintage finds always provide such unique pieces! My latest "Pink Tutu" outfit - which I might just wear for the post-ballet bash on Saturday - features a stunning silk pink scarf that I found at a lovely shop tucked away near Covent Garden. I just adore that little detail - adding a touch of playful personality!

Lights, Camera, Theatre!

The evening culminated with a fabulous night at the theatre! I was lucky enough to snag tickets to a showing of Singin' in the Rain, which I absolutely adore! Honestly, the energy and the music just carry you away. The tap dancing was phenomenal!

Even after a long and amazing day in London, the city's electric atmosphere stayed with me as I took the train back to Derbyshire. I'm already plotting my next trip back, and trust me, it will involve some more delicious afternoon teas and a dash of theatre!

A Little Reminder

And, of course, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu blog without a little encouragement to embrace the tutu!

Remember, every single one of us has a sparkle inside, a little ballerina ready to come out. So put on your favourite tutu, unleash your inner princess, and take on the world!

Until then, dance like nobody's watching... unless they're wearing a pink tutu! ๐Ÿ’•

Lots of love and twirls,

Emma ๐Ÿฉฐ
