Pink Tutu Blog London: Friday 2015-07-17 - Channelling my Inner Princess in London!
Hello darlings! It's Emma here, and it's Friday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog post! Today is extra special, because, after months of dreaming and planning, I'm finally in London! π
You guys know I'm a Derbyshire girl at heart, but nothing quite beats the buzz of London. The fashion, the energy, the history - it's just so magical! I was absolutely giddy with excitement as I boarded the train this morning, my pink tulle tutu (naturally) adding a dash of playful glamour to my travel outfit. π©°
From Derbyshire to London, by Train!
I have to say, the train journey was such a delight! I popped on my headphones, cranked up my favourite playlist of ballet music, and let my imagination soar. I could picture myself pirouetting through the London streets, surrounded by gorgeous architecture and bustling with life.
And you know me, darlings, I've got to bring a bit of Pink Tutu flair wherever I go! My little travelling essentials bag was a masterpiece of organised pink, packed with all my girly necessities: a touch-up mirror for perfect ballerina smiles, a little bottle of rose-scented hand cream to keep my skin feeling silky, and a small notebook to scribble down all my London inspiration. π
Exploring London in My Tutu:
Arriving in London was like stepping into a fairytale! I made my way straight to my darling little hotel, tucked away in a quiet corner near Kensington Gardens. The staff were absolutely lovely, showering me with smiles and offering me a glass of sparkling rose. It was the perfect welcome after a day of travelling.
After settling in, I knew just the place to begin my London adventure: Harrods! I've heard whispers of its legendary fashion department and, honestly, I wasn't disappointed. I spent hours swirling through the glittering aisles, trying on luxurious dresses and scarves, all the while imagining myself dancing at the Royal Opera House! π
It was a treat for the eyes, the touch, and the soul. But you know what else is a must-do for a ballerina in London? Tea at The Ritz, darling! The setting is positively stunning, with elegant chandeliers and delicate china, and the scones? They melted in my mouth! Honestly, I could've eaten ten of them, and the Earl Grey tea was just divine. βοΈ
As the evening settled, I decided to head to the West End! The dazzling lights, the anticipation, the palpable magic...it's just electrifying! Tonight's show was "Les MisΓ©rables," which just had to be seen. The music, the emotions, the costumes...it was all just perfect. I was so moved, and my heart ached at all the beauty. π
And, you guessed it, I went to the show in my pink tutu, naturally! I might have caught a few curious stares, but who cares, right? We can't all be boring, can we? Plus, a bit of Pink Tutu magic never hurt anyone. β¨
Finding My Inspiration:
So far, London's been nothing short of incredible. The energy here is so different from Derbyshire, and it's sparking so many ideas for my upcoming performances. I'm already picturing myself adding some bold London street style to my next show. And, of course, I can't resist picking up some gorgeous new tutus for my wardrobe. π
As for tomorrow, my darlings, I've got a jam-packed itinerary! A trip to the V&A museum (the ballet section is divine, you see) followed by afternoon tea with my favourite London ballerina friend, Charlotte, and finishing the day with a ballet class at one of London's prestigious schools! This trip is all about soaking up inspiration, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
