Pink Tutu Blog: London Adventures - #1014

Friday, February 5th, 2016

Hello my darling darlings! Emma here, back with another London adventure to share! As always, I've been twirling through the capital in my beloved pink tutu, soaking up all the glorious sights and sounds, and sharing a sprinkle of my own pink-hued magic!

You know, sometimes, when life gets a little too serious, all you need is a trip on the train and a twirl around a new city to remind you just how much fun life can be! I must admit, travelling to London from my quaint little village in Derbyshire is a joy all by itself. There’s nothing quite like the thrill of boarding a train, sinking into a comfy seat and watching the countryside whizz by. It's like a magical journey into a different world – and trust me, that world often feels pretty fabulous when you're in your favourite pink tutu.

Fashion and Fun in London!

Today’s adventure started with a visit to the iconic Covent Garden market, a whirlwind of colours, sounds and scents. I spotted some divine silk scarves, perfectly suited for a tutu-clad ballet dancer. After a little bit of pink-inspired bargain hunting, I took a detour to a tea shop, and settled into a charming booth with a pot of delicious Earl Grey and a slice of lemon cake. Of course, I had to take a few pictures for the 'gram! My followers just love to see me twirling amidst the market’s chaos, my pink tutu shimmering like a beacon of happiness.

Then it was onto the Royal Opera House, where I indulged in a spot of ballet browsing. There’s just something utterly magical about wandering through the historic halls of this place, knowing that legends like Margot Fonteyn and Rudolf Nureyev have graced its stage! The plush red velvet seats, the glistening chandeliers, the ghosts of countless graceful performances lingering in the air, it's truly inspirational.

My London weekend, of course, wouldn’t be complete without a show, so I treated myself to a glorious performance at the Dominion Theatre. Tonight's entertainment was An American in Paris - a truly mesmerising experience with dazzling sets and phenomenal dancing! My little tutu-clad heart was so full by the time the curtains closed, my feet were itching to take to the stage myself.

The Art of Ballet and the Beauty of the Stage

Being a professional dancer allows me to live a very special life. My tutu isn’t just an item of clothing for me, it’s my uniform! I take so much inspiration from all these performances and every journey to London is an absolute must for a dancer like me. Seeing amazing productions like An American in Paris reminds me just how much there is to learn, it reignites the fire in my belly for the beautiful world of dance.

But for me, London is also about fashion, and exploring the many fabulous boutiques dotted across the city. I spent a few happy hours wandering through the streets of Soho, window-shopping in vintage stores and soaking up the creative energy. I found some cute floral accessories to pair with my tutu. And as luck would have it, a gorgeous pink beret fell into my hands (or should I say, tutu-laden arms). The shopkeeper even gave me a compliment on my tutu - how lovely!

I just love the energy of London - it's always buzzing with a vibrant mix of theatre-goers, fashionistas, tourists and locals, all sharing this city we call home! And I truly believe that every woman has a dancer in her, a wild, free spirit waiting to twirl into the world.

My Pink Tutu Message

Wearing a pink tutu is my way of expressing my joy, my passion, my love for the arts, my dedication to the world of ballet! I want everyone to embrace their inner tutu-wearing self, because every woman, regardless of age or background, deserves to celebrate life’s sweet moments.

Life’s an adventure, darling. So don't forget to embrace the fun, dance with abandon, and always let your inner tutu fly.

See you next week for another London adventure!

Love,

Emma
