Pink Tutu Travels: London Calling! πŸ©°πŸ’–

Hello my lovely tutu-loving friends! πŸ‘‹ It's Emma here, back with another fabulous Friday blog post, this time straight from the heart of London! This week's adventure marks a milestone – drumroll please – blog post number 1055! πŸŽ‰ Honestly, it feels like only yesterday I was nervously posting my first blog entry about my love of tutus. But, here we are, still going strong and spreading the joy of twirling across the internet. ✨

This weekend's adventure, funded by a particularly successful week of performances at the Derbyshire Theatre, was all about exploring London! And, wouldn't you know it, I just had to dress the part. πŸ‘  Naturally, a pink tutu was a must, paired with a sleek black top and some fabulously chunky pink heels, which I found in a little vintage shop in Derby – my finds are always a bit quirky and fun!

Train Travel with a Twist:

We set off bright and early this morning, the sound of the train clattering on the tracks already putting me in a happy mood. I find travelling by train so charming – you really get to see the English countryside in all its glory, plus the feeling of adventure is unbeatable! I settled into my comfy seat and started reading my new book – The Adventures of a Young Tutu-Wearing Ballerina, an incredibly heartwarming children's story (a definite must-read for my little ballerina friends out there!)

London, I’m Home!

When I finally arrived in London, the city was already buzzing. After checking into my cute and cosy hotel near Piccadilly Circus, I couldn't resist popping into one of the charming shops to grab a delicious hot chocolate – London always knows how to do afternoon tea the right way!

Afternoon of Enchanting Performances

Friday afternoon, my favourite time for some cultural indulgence, saw me venturing into the world of ballet. It’s always thrilling to see some of the most incredible talent showcased on a London stage. Today's performance was none other than the Royal Ballet, their rendition of β€œGiselle” absolutely stole my breath away. I'm already making plans to go back again, maybe even in my own custom pink tutu for the next show!

A Glimpse of the City Lights

Evening time, and it's time to really embrace the vibrancy of London. I grabbed some fish and chips – no trip to London is complete without it! – and strolled along the South Bank, admiring the breathtaking views of the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye.

The lights of the city illuminated the River Thames in an unforgettable glow, creating a perfect backdrop for my tutu-twirling selfie! ✨ I couldn't resist a quick detour into Covent Garden where I stumbled across a performance by a group of street dancers - it was amazing! They really had me enthralled. They even let me try a few moves!

Pink Tutu Finds:

No trip to London is complete without a little retail therapy. I spent the afternoon flitting around some of the most fashionable stores in town. You'd be amazed by the variety of pink-themed garments and accessories! I actually picked up a fantastic vintage tutu in a second-hand shop tucked away near Oxford Street, adding another sparkly treasure to my growing collection. But my real coup of the day? I managed to snag a pair of limited-edition, rose gold ballet flats – they're absolutely gorgeous and are definitely going to be my go-to shoes for my future ballet class escapades!

Goodnight from London

The night is drawing in, the pink tutu is carefully tucked away for a well-deserved rest, and my London adventures have reached their end for now. It’s always amazing to explore this incredible city, brimming with so much creativity and inspiration. London, you always hold a special place in my heart. Until next time!

And, my fellow ballet-loving friends, stay tuned for next week's blog, where I'll be sharing my favourite spots for ballet classes in London. Plus, I’m planning a special blog post on how to rock a pink tutu with confidence - don't miss it!

Until next Friday,

Lots of pink love, Emma πŸ’–
