#PinkTutuBlogLondon: A Pink Tutu Pilgrimage to the City That Never Sleeps (Post #1086)

Hello my lovely Tutu Tribe! It’s Emma here, reporting live from the heart of London, a city that's as exciting and vibrant as a twirling ballerina in a full-bodied pirouette.

Today's the day, my friends! After months of planning, my train tickets booked, and a sparkly new pink tutu specifically designed for my London adventure, I'm finally here. I boarded the train bright and early this morning from my cosy Derbyshire home, feeling as though my toes were already tapping in time with the rhythm of the rails.

London, oh London! How I've missed you. The air is different here, filled with a buzz that sends shivers down my spine and makes me want to shout "C’mon, let’s get this party started!" This is my happy place, my city of dreams where every street corner whispers stories of dance, fashion, and boundless energy.

This week's #PinkTutuBlogLondon post is dedicated to my whirlwind Friday in this dazzling city, a day bursting with pink, glitz, and, of course, my trusty tutu. So, come along, Tutu Tribe, and let’s get lost in the magic of London together.

First Stop: A Pink Tutu Breakfast Fit for a Queen

First things first: breakfast! This morning I had the best pastry in London from this adorable cafe near Victoria station, decorated with lace doilies and delicate floral prints, all perfect for my girly girly morning vibe. And because this was London and I was in the mood for some theatrical indulgence, I treated myself to a sparkling pink latte to top off the delicious pastry.

Train Travels and Fashion Inspiration

Before embarking on the big adventure, I had to showcase the newest addition to my tutu wardrobe, the very special pink and gold creation, “London Lights” which I've had specially designed for my trip! And you know me, can't let my pink-loving heart be contained by the four walls of the station, so a little impromptu photoshoot at Kings Cross was a must. The magnificent arched ceiling of the station created the perfect backdrop for the cascading gold tulle. (Keep an eye out on my Instagram for some photos from this dazzling display of pink and gold.)

Shopping on Oxford Street

Next, a whirlwind trip down Oxford Street. What can I say, it's just a girl's haven of gorgeous shoes, eye-popping clothes, and oh, the lipstick options, heaven! Of course, I couldn't resist a little pink pick-me-up from a lovely little boutique tucked away on a side street, where I scored a fluffy pink clutch bag to complement my dazzling new London Lights tutu! This little gem will be a statement piece on any London adventure I take from here.

Tea, Crumpets and Shakespearean Dreams

After a sugar rush from my shopping trip, it was time to relax. No trip to London would be complete without an afternoon tea, and for today's tea treat, I decided on The Globe, right on the bank of the Thames, close to the historic Shakespeare's Globe Theater. A perfect location for a tea time feast and to soak up a little history of the Bard's plays and Elizabethan times. I took a seat beside the river, enjoying the views, the tea and some scrumptious crumpets, all while sketching up some inspiration for a new “Shakespeare in the City” ballet routine in my trusty notebook. This will be a big feature for my next London trip, a fusion of London theatre with the grace of ballet, perhaps I’ll create a dance that celebrates some of Shakespeare's plays. (Ideas anyone? Let me know what your favorite play is! Maybe you can join my inspiration sessions online sometime).

Catching a Show with My Tutu Crew

No trip to London is complete without a trip to the West End. The city pulsates with a rhythm of laughter, tears, and brilliant performance that truly puts your soul on fire.

And, with a new pink tutu in my heart and on my legs, I felt ready for the Phantom of the Opera, one of London’s long-running theatrical spectaculars. The majestic stage, the thrilling music and those iconic masked voices just stole my breath away. It truly was a mesmerizing experience and the most perfect ending to my busy London day. The sheer spectacle of the musical, the sheer drama and power of the performances, well, it just had me captivated in my theatre seat, spinning a whole imaginary ballet performance in my head that featured Phantom-inspired costumes, spooky, grand melodies, and oh, maybe some magical tutus! If only they could be real, right?!

Reflecting on a Wonderful Friday

And so, my London day draws to a close, leaving me brimming with that intoxicating feeling only this city can offer.

You know, London's an inspiration for the pink tutu soul. This city teaches me, that it's ok to be big, to be bold, to make bold statement and celebrate what brings a little twinkle to our lives. From pink lattes and crumpet lunches to a trip to the theater in a sparkly tutu, I believe the city’s a constant reminder, even amidst the busyness and pace of modern life, we should remember our love of the small joys, of a splash of color, of twirling through the streets and spreading a little bit of Tutu Magic everywhere we go.

So, dear Tutu Tribe, I'm leaving you tonight with a question: What are your dreams for London? Where in this glorious city would you wear your pink tutu?

Share your dreams with me on my website at www.pink-tutu.com!

Emma xx
