The morning began with a flurry of activity as I prepped for my big train journey. This week's adventures were funded by my magical performances – a charming rendition of Swan Lake in Chesterfield, and a graceful turn in The Nutcracker at Derby Theatre. I simply love how my passion for ballet allows me to explore the world, and London is always top of my list!
Whizzing Through the English Countryside
I absolutely adore train travel, the rhythm of the wheels on the track, the ever-changing views… It's a truly magical experience! I took the scenic route to London, gazing out the window at rolling hills, quaint villages, and the charming, cobbled streets of Derby, where my love affair with the dance began.
Pink Tutu Power in Paddington Station
As I stepped off the train at Paddington Station, the city's vibrant energy swept over me. London is buzzing with life, an exciting mix of old and new, and there’s no better feeling than being right in the thick of it all. Now, don't worry, I wasn't wearing my signature pink tutu on the train, I kept that for my grand entrance in London. I mean, who can resist the thrill of arriving at Paddington Station in a symphony of pink? It really is a statement!
A Lunch of Delights
I wouldn't dare start my London adventures with an empty tummy, would I? So, it was off to one of my favorite spots: The Orangery in Kensington Gardens. The place was bursting with energy, with families enjoying their Friday lunch and tourists marveling at the Victorian architecture. As I settled into a quaint corner table, I reveled in a classic afternoon tea – delicate sandwiches, warm scones with clotted cream and jam, and a cup of the finest Earl Grey. Bliss!
Fashion Frenzy at Harrods
With a tummy full of delicious delights, my next stop was a grand fashion affair. You see, dear readers, Harrods is my absolute go-to for a touch of elegance, and this trip was no different. I stepped into a world of plush carpets, crystal chandeliers, and oh, the clothes! I simply adore the way this iconic department store mixes tradition and modernity, a truly inspiring setting. From designer handbags to exquisite shoes, Harrods has something to suit every fashionista, and of course, a wide selection of the most stunning pink pieces. Let’s just say, I went a little crazy, and came away with a dazzling new pair of pink heels and a whimsical pink-feathered clutch - just imagine the impact!

Every London trip demands a visit to the Royal Opera House, and tonight's performance of "La Bayadère" was truly breathtaking. The artistry of the dancers, the intricate sets, the grand ambiance… it's just magical. Watching ballet is an incredibly emotional experience, transporting you to another realm of beauty and elegance.
An Evening of Sparkle at The Ritz
As the curtain fell on the beautiful ballet, I knew the night wasn't over yet. London after dark is simply enchanting! With my newly acquired pink heels, I headed straight for The Ritz, a truly iconic establishment that’s oozing with old-world charm and timeless elegance. I found myself in a grand ballroom with intricate décor, gleaming chandeliers, and live music playing gently in the background. It was like stepping into a glamorous dream! And the cocktails… divine! My pink tutu made quite the statement there, you can be sure.

Before heading back to Derbyshire, I took a leisurely walk along the Thames, taking in the city's vibrant skyline under the soft glow of the night sky.
