Pink Tutu Blog London: #1213 - Friday 2019-11-29 - London Calling! š©°š
Hello my darling Tutu-lovers!
It's Friday, and you know what that means? It's Pink Tutu Blog London time! I'm back, and this time I'm venturing into the heart of the city, the Big Smoke, London, the land of vibrant street life and fabulous theatrical delights! I caught the train this morning from my Derbyshire home (as you know, it's my absolute favourite mode of transport, a journey in itself!), and oh my goodness, I'm so excited for what awaits.
London is like a dream in itself. You just can't help but get swept up in its glamour and history. Today, Iām here for a special event, the National Ballet Day. This one-off event takes place only once a year, and you simply canāt miss it, with all its special shows and talks happening throughout the day. It's a brilliant excuse to put on my most gorgeous pink tutu and celebrate everything I love - the theatre, ballet, fashion and fabulous London!
Speaking of my pink tutu, todayās look is extra special. Itās a shimmering blush pink creation, so beautifully made it practically sings "London". To complete the ensemble, I've paired it with a luxurious blush cashmere jumper (the perfect outfit for a cold London day, don't you think?), my pearl-embellished clutch bag, and the must-have statement item - my adorable, oversized pink bow!
Now, off to the Royal Opera House! You may be surprised, but the journey itself has already brought so much inspiration! There are dancers performing in the station, such amazing artistry, just a sneak peek into the magic thatās about to unfold! I love London and the way it captures even the most mundane moments and turns them into magic! I simply canāt wait to get inside the Opera House, Iāve heard theyāre offering a fantastic selection of ballets. Iāve already chosen my favourites for the day!
First up - āCinderellaā. I love the timeless story and this iconic version! I'm expecting such stunning choreography and sets, the costumes will be breathtaking! Afterwards, itās off to see a selection of works by Sergei Prokofiev, a classical ballet that is certain to take my breath away! Oh, I can't wait, can you imagine the atmosphere inside? So magical, so dreamy.
And I mustnāt forget, all that shopping, too. It's Friday after all! The streets of London offer a treasure trove of inspiration, and you just never know what fabulous little vintage shops youāre going to stumble upon! Perhaps even a few shops selling pink tutus! Wouldn't that be perfect?
Time for some London Treats!
Itās already mid-day, and time for a little something sweet! I've been meaning to try these delicious London "afternoon tea" cakes, you know the ones with the marzipan and lemon drizzle! Perfect for fuelling up before an afternoon filled with performances! You simply canāt be in London without enjoying the amazing cafe culture! It is so delicious!
Now, let me tell you about my evening plans! The day ends with "La Traviata" at the Royal Albert Hall! Such an exquisite and moving production! It's my absolute favourite Opera, and in London, well it is truly exceptional! The performance will be mesmerising, I'm sure, I can't wait to feel the music stir my soul, it will be an unforgettable experience. I've bought the most magnificent silver sparkly pink tutu (naturally!) just for this show. And oh, the glamour! Just picture this; all those spectacular opera costumes! Itās sure to be a visual feast! I can't even express how thrilled I am for this night!
I know youāre going to want a peek behind the scenes so Iāll be sure to post all my photos and a video later on, so keep an eye out for my update. But until then, tell me, where is your favourite place to visit in London? I can't wait to hear from you!
Stay tuned for my London diary entry coming soon on my website

Donāt forget, itās my mission to encourage you all to don your pink tutus. It doesnāt have to be for ballet, itās simply a great way to express yourself and spread a bit of cheer! Remember, always let your inner pink tutu sparkle.
Until next Friday, my darlings!
Emma xoxo
