Pink Tutu Blog London - Post #1223: London Calling! 🩰💖

Hello my dearest Tutu Twirlers!

It's Friday, and you know what that means...it's time for a new Pink Tutu Blog London post! This week I've been absolutely buzzing about my trip to the Big Smoke! As you know, I'm a bit of a train fanatic, so I always love the journey to London, and this trip was no exception. Snuggling into a comfy first-class carriage with my favourite pink tutu book, listening to some classical music, and enjoying a spot of Earl Grey tea (with two sugars of course!), well, it's the perfect way to kick off a London adventure.

I'm just back from a fabulous day exploring all things fabulous in London. There’s truly nothing better than wandering around the city streets in a floaty, twirly tutu. The stares? It’s just part of the magic.

Let’s jump right into my pink-tinted London diary!

Fashion and More Fashion 🛍️💖

I couldn’t resist starting my day in Covent Garden, you know me. A little browse around the stalls, followed by a trip to the amazing Liberty London. Honestly, I was completely in awe. Their fabric selection is mind-blowing! I even got a little treat for myself, a beautiful pink floral silk scarf for my new pink tutu creation, which is totally coming soon. I can't wait to show you the results on my Instagram!

From Liberty, I popped across the road to Liberty’s sister shop, the fabulously luxurious Fortnum & Mason. They had the most divine pastries and cakes, and, well, you can't resist buying a beautiful box of tea when you’re at Fortnums, can you? Of course, I also had to snag a gorgeous, antique looking, silver teaspoon. After all, even a ballerina has got to have some silver sparkle in her life!

The Great Show On 🎭 ✨

The highlight of my day was a performance at the Barbican Centre - I saw the most incredible ballet! I simply must get my hands on a pair of their theatre programme's for my collection. Let me tell you, it's absolutely worth visiting the Barbican!

A Dance with Tradition 🏛️🩰

In the afternoon, I took a walk around St Paul’s Cathedral, soaking up the gorgeous architecture. I even saw a group of students taking ballet class outside in the square! Talk about a flash mob for the ages!

After my cathedral stroll, I headed to The Globe theatre, because who doesn't love a bit of Shakespeare, even if they have to listen to him in the original pronunciation! (Honestly, my inner historian just screams every time!.) The Globe Theatre really does have that wonderful Tudor era vibe!

A Pint in the Park 🍻

You know that I had to grab a celebratory pint at a traditional pub while I was in London. It's not London without a pint and some pub grub, after all! You won't be surprised to learn that my pub of choice had the most amazing pink floral wall display - I just couldn't resist! (Don't worry, I’m also a fan of real ales and my pint was totally delicious, just in case you were wondering!). It truly was the perfect end to my London adventure!

Pink Tutu Travels 🚄 🩰

My train journey back to Derbyshire was as calm as can be - I finished up a good book, had another little cuppa, and I can't resist confessing that I snuck in another ballet practice session too. You can never have enough ballet, even when travelling!

Follow the Tutu! ✨💖

What was I wearing today you ask? Well, I just had to go for my lucky, pink, glittery tulle tutu - because who doesn't love a touch of pink and sparkle, especially on a London adventure! And, of course, my favorite pair of pink ballet flats were definitely an absolute must. My pink Tutu style motto? “Don't just twirl through life, let life twirl you!”. And that is what I will be doing this weekend!

Now, until next Friday’s post, don't forget to keep twirling, spread the pink love, and subscribe to my blog www.pink-tutu.com ! I'm looking forward to sharing more adventures with you. And, if you’ve been thinking about wearing a pink tutu yourself, then it’s time! I dare you to give it a try - and don't forget to share your Pink Tutu experience! I'd love to hear about it in the comments! 💖

Until next week, darling Tutu Twirlers!

Yours truly,

Emma xx 🩰
