#PinkTutuBlogLondon - Friday 2021-02-26 - A Whirlwind of Pink Through London!
Hello my darlings! Welcome back to my little corner of the internet, where life's a stage and tutus are our costumes. Today, I'm whisking you away to the capital, London town! This is #PinkTutuBlogLondon post number 1278 and my aim, as always, is to make your day a little bit more sparkly with a dose of pink, tutus, and fabulousness.
Train-spotting with a Tutu:
The early bird catches the worm (and the train to London!) Today's journey began bright and early in my beloved Derbyshire. As usual, my pink tulle tutu - a custom creation from a tiny shop in Bakewell - became my train-spotting companion. Let's be honest, a tutu brightens up any commute, right? It was a little chilly outside but there's something exhilarating about taking the train into the city, knowing London's waiting to be explored.
A Day for the Arts:
Landing in London, the first stop was a ballet performance at the Sadler's Wells Theatre. I couldn't have missed this incredible show featuring some of the most talented dancers I've ever seen! They were practically defying gravity, and I found myself wanting to jump onto the stage right then and there! The stage lights were like a magic spell, pulling me deeper into the story, and the energy in the room was electric. The sheer athleticism and artistry made my heart sing, and I was transported by the story the dancers wove through their movement.
Pinklicious London:
No visit to London is complete without a little retail therapy! After the ballet, it was time for a trip to Covent Garden Market to find some fabulously pink accessories and treats to spice up my look. This market is like a candy shop for fashion and artistry! There's something so special about finding hidden gems amongst the hustle and bustle. Today I found the perfect pastel pink satin ribbon to adorn my latest tutu creation - I can't wait to share it with you all soon!
Lunch with a View:
What's a London adventure without a bite to eat? Lunch with a view was definitely on the agenda. We snagged a table at The Shard - with breathtaking panoramic views of London - a perfect setting for sparkling pink champagne! From high above the city, it all looked so picturesque, like a ballet stage filled with life and movement. I took a few photos with the view, capturing the pink tutu's delicate movements as a backdrop of the magnificent skyline.
Fashion with a Twist:
The afternoon was dedicated to a fashion hunt, searching for a piece to complement my new ballerina-inspired wardrobe. We ventured into Harrods, a retail palace, and after weaving through racks of fabulous fabrics and shimmering gowns, I found the most enchanting chiffon skirt in the palest shade of blush pink. Imagine my delight - the perfect partner for my pink tutu and a reminder of the incredible memories we created together today!
Theatricality Unleashed:
This Friday was packed with performance art, ending our London spree with a spectacular theatre show. "Mamma Mia" - a vibrant musical with a sparkly cast! This one never fails to brighten up my day, filled with energy, music and good times! Seeing the talented actors and singers bring the story to life was such a delight, it's no wonder this musical continues to be a popular choice in London's West End.
Back to Derbyshire:
As the lights dimmed in the theatre, it was time to head back to Derbyshire with a heart full of happy memories. The journey back was just as exciting as the trip into the capital, especially with the memories of my Pink Tutu adventures dancing in my head. With my latest additions - a stunning chiffon skirt and the perfect pink ribbon - my wardrobe's been infused with a little bit of London's magic!
