Pink Tutu Blog: London Adventures (Post #1341)

Hello, darlings! It's Emma, your favourite pink tutu-wearing ballerina, and it's time for another exciting installment of Pink Tutu Blog! This week, I'm taking you with me on a fabulous trip to the big smoke, London, town!

This week's post is a bit special, as itā€™s all about that Friday feeling! You know the one - when you ditch the desk job, hop on the train, and head off to explore! This week, Iā€™m hopping on the train, headed to London for a day of tutus, ballet, and beautiful boutiques! London is one of my favourite cities, and as a girl from Derbyshire, I never miss an opportunity to catch the train down there. The journeys on the train can be magical. You've got to admit, the views on the East Midland trains can be spectacular,

I've been doing some fancy footwork on stage recently, with a performance at the gorgeous Derby Theatre last weekend - the applause from the audience always gives me such a buzz. This week's London adventure is my little reward, fuelled by the passion I have for dancing and the amazing tutu creations I whip up!

I'm here in London, armed with my ballet bag full of tutus, my phone loaded with ballet show and theatre tickets, and my stomach ready to rumble at the mere mention of a good cup of tea and a cake - it wouldn't be a proper London day without them, darling!

Tutu Train Travel

My first mission is a sartorial success: I absolutely nailed the "chic but comfortable" look on the train! It's a tricky combo but, darling, let's be honest, I have this travel thing down to a tee. A pretty pastel pink shift dress - all floral and flowing - perfectly paired with my signature tutu. Oh, the smiles and admiring glances I've received - I always love being the ray of sunshine that brightens people's day! And as if a tutu wouldn't already do that on its own!

My trusty canvas bag - filled with all the essentials: a good book (I'm on ā€œPride and Prejudiceā€ right now - a classic, darling!) a travel journal to scribble all my London escapades, a bottle of pink prosecco for a little bubbly indulgence (you've got to treat yourself!), and of course, a portable pink charger for my phone - my blog needs its content, darlings, so it can't be left flat!

A fellow traveller asked me about my passion for pink tutus. I shared the joy of dance, the magic of the tutu, and how the colours represent everything I love: hope, happiness, joy. You know, the sweet little tutu fairy vibes - youā€™ve got to love it! They looked a bit bewildered, but then you just never know with London! Maybe I'll inspire a whole tutu train tomorrow - who knows?!

Afternoon Delight: Dance at the Royal Opera House

Now, darling, for the highlight of my day - Iā€™m off to see "Swan Lake" at the Royal Opera House! You could hear a pin drop when I walked into the building.

I've always felt that the theatre is such a magical space, so filled with history and stories, all intertwined with dance and music. There's an energy there, a special electricity that brings everyone together - from the cast and orchestra to the audience, it's an experience that will stay with me all week.

Iā€™ve been dreaming of this show for weeks. The music, the costumes - itā€™s absolutely everything I dream about.

I took my seats - so beautifully plush and comfortable, like a cloud in a theatre! The ballet started and my eyes widened.

My breath hitched, the sheer grace and athleticism of the dancers filled me with so much admiration, and joy, I can hardly put it into words. It's moments like this when Iā€™m reminded how much the art of dance inspires me and motivates me to keep on twirling!

For a few precious moments, the stage, the music, the incredible talent of the dancers transported me to a fairytale world, and you know, sometimes we all need a bit of magic! And as the curtain fell on this magical ballet, my mind felt so peaceful, I had that feeling of sheer delight - which I'm not ashamed to say, made my heart twirl a little too.

I'll admit, as I stepped out onto Covent Garden after the show, I felt like I was on top of the world, my little tutu filled with fairy dust. Itā€™s funny how a great ballet can leave you with such a boost!

Ballet Heaven: A Trip To the Ballet Store

The excitement isnā€™t over yet, darling! After the Royal Opera House, it's time for a little retail therapy - I'm heading to a store on Bond Street where you'd never guess I would goā€¦. a shop selling all things dancewear, tutus, ballet shoes. Imagine a world of sparkly leotards, colourful ballet shoes, and tutus in all shapes and sizes, fabrics and colours - a ballerinasā€™ dream.

If you think tutus only come in pink, you've clearly never stepped foot in this store! The range is amazing - black, white, turquoise, gold and all kinds of incredible fabrics like feathers, silk, sequins! Iā€™ve just discovered my next creation for the next show. Youā€™ll have to wait and see when I debut it!

Iā€™ve picked out my new shoes - the gorgeousest satin pointe shoes I've ever laid my eyes on, in a dusty rose colour - so pretty! and the cutest sparkly tutu I've ever seen for my next show - oh, my tutu heart is singing!

Youā€™ve got to see it! Maybe you'll join the Tutu Train with me for next week's adventures? Iā€™ve got my eye on a fantastic ballet store - they do everything tutu, with designs you canā€™t believe.

Pink Prosecco Time

And as the evening rolls around, there's nothing like enjoying a little bit of pink prosecco in a classy spot with an even more glamorous view. My dress looks fabulous with my shoes, I just love a pretty dress - all pink of course. My heels, however, were very tempting, but I can't be all glam when my feet ache, so I have stuck to the sensible option!

Iā€™ve also got the cutest pink and white polka dot little cardigan, which matches my lipstick beautifully! What do you think of my choice of accessories? The little matching bag I have looks fantastic. So feminine!

I found this lovely little Italian restaurant tucked away in a side street ā€“ all cosy candlelight, chatter, and delectable smells - I was smitten from the moment I stepped in.

You just canā€™t resist a little extra indulgence when you're in London! I ordered a delicious plate of pasta with fresh, vibrant ingredients - It was heavenly! My lovely little dessert came on a beautiful, dainty plate - it was just the most adorable little chocolate mousse cake - yum!

This is just the perfect way to end a fabulously pink day.

London Friday, Fashion, Fun

I love coming to London for a day! There's something for everyone! And remember, if you ever feel lost or a bit lost for inspiration, just follow your heart, darling. Do what makes you happy. As they say, go forth and spread the pink tutu joy!

Now, tell me about your Friday adventures - what are you doing today, darlings? Are you headed to a ballet show? Is your closet bursting with pink tutus? Have you discovered a secret treasure trove of London goodies?

Donā€™t forget, join me for another Pink Tutu blog adventure next Friday! I'll be sharing some fun secrets from my recent travels around Derbyshire. It'll be filled with stories, tips, and oh-so-much tutus!

Love and sparkles,

Emma x
