It's Friday, the sun's shining, and Emma's back in London! ? This week's been a whirlwind of rehearsals, performances, and tutus, naturally, but there's nothing I love more than a weekend in London to recharge my ballerina batteries. So, pack your pinkest shades and fluffiest skirts, because we're heading on a little London escapade together.
The Pink Express to London ??
London feels like a second home, especially when you travel by train! This week, I boarded the express from Derbyshire with a spring in my step (and a twirl in my pink tutu, naturally). I must say, there’s nothing quite like the calming hum of a train ride, particularly with a good book and a cup of tea (with pink sugar, of course!). It gives me time to let my imagination flow and to think about all the pink-tastic adventures waiting for me in London.
Friday Feels & A Fabulous Start ✨?
Stepping off the train in Paddington was like a blast of pure London energy – the bustling crowds, the colourful buildings, the vibrant atmosphere – it's a sensory delight! I took a quick hop on the tube to the heart of theatreland and felt the excitement building as I approached the West End.
The reason for my trip? Well, it was a special treat, darlings! Today was all about a new show opening, [Choose a London show for April 21, 2023]! You see, one of my greatest passions alongside ballet is theatre, and I was determined not to miss this opening night. The whole experience was utterly magical. ? ?
Afternoon Delights in Covent Garden ??️
After the performance, the urge to shop was too strong to resist. You see, London is simply brimming with gorgeous boutiques and independent shops that I simply must explore! This afternoon, Covent Garden beckoned. It's a haven of independent labels, and with a pink tutu and a swoon-worthy shopping list, I ventured inside.
There’s a magic to shopping in London that is truly unique. Each boutique offers something special, from vintage finds to trendy labels, and I’m a firm believer that everyone deserves a dose of stylish whimsy in their lives! And for me, that often involves adding some fabulous new pieces to my pink wardrobe. I mean, a tutu never goes out of style, right? ?
Covent Garden Markets - A True London Experience ?✨
After a quick stop at my favourite vintage clothing store (shh… I can't tell you the name, it’s a secret!) we meandered through Covent Garden Market, savouring the vibrant street performances, delightful scents from local food stalls, and of course, admiring the artistic charm of the surrounding buildings. It's an enchanting mix of old and new, and one of my favourite places to be in London. And don't even get me started on the flowers! ??
Sunset Stroll & River Views ??
The sun was beginning to set as I strolled along the Thames. It cast a beautiful, golden light on the cityscape, turning London into a canvas of romantic hues. The water shimmered and danced with the reflection of the buildings, creating a magical panorama. I stood there, lost in the beauty of the moment, enjoying a moment of quiet reflection while twirling with the gentlest of movements – it’s hard not to get into the spirit of a place as captivating as London.
The End of a Perfect Day ??

As I drift off to sleep in my little London haven, I'm filled with the joy of this pink-filled day, filled with vibrant London energy and dreams of my next London escapade.
