Pink Tutu Blog London: #1472 - Friday Feeling in Fabulous London!
Hey lovely readers, it's Emma from Derbyshire, back with another Friday blog post and this time, itās from London! You know how much I love travelling by train, and let me tell you, this train ride was magical! Thereās something about being tucked into a comfy seat, watching the scenery whizz by and feeling the anticipation build.
Todayās theme? Pink and fluffy! Yep, you guessed it, Iām rocking a new, oh-so-sparkly pink tutu, and let me tell you, it's attracting smiles wherever I go. My aim is to make the world a more pink and sparkly place, one tutu at a time, and this London adventure is just the beginning.
Morning Ballet at the Royal Opera House
London and ballet, oh how I love you both! This morning, I started the day in the most beautiful way possible: at a ballet class at the Royal Opera House. Even the thought of standing in the shadow of those magnificent performers, breathing the same air as them, filled me with a rush of excitement!
Of course, I wore my pink tutu, just to add a touch of sparkle and girly-ness to the atmosphere. The other ballerinas looked so graceful in their leotards and tutus, and I must say, it's incredibly inspiring.
After class, I couldnāt resist grabbing a cappuccino at the cafe. The coffee was delicious, the view from the cafe overlooking the theatre was breathtaking, and letās be honest, no caffeine boost is ever complete without a little sugar rush from a pink doughnut!
Shopping in the Pink Paradise
No trip to London is complete without a bit of retail therapy, especially when your colour is pink! My mission: find the perfect pink accessory for my new tutu. I spent the afternoon wandering around Oxford Street and let me tell you, it was a fashion loverās dream!
One shop stood out: the ultimate pink haven. I found myself amidst racks and shelves overflowing with everything pink you can possibly imagine - from delicate rose-coloured shoes to fluffy, shimmering pink dresses. And wouldnāt you know it, the perfect accessory for my tutu: a pair of dazzling pink ballet flats, complete with glitter!
Pink at the National Theatre
The highlight of my day had to be the theatre show. The National Theatre, with its iconic exterior, was just calling my name! This Friday, they were performing āA Streetcar Named Desireā and even though itās a classic drama, I swear it had a bit of pink magic woven into it.
You see, there was this stunning costume in the show, a vintage pink gown, it had layers of tulle and glitter and a dash of drama, much like my pink tutu! I loved how it complemented the play's emotional depth while adding a sprinkle of feminine beauty.
The Pink-tastic After-Party
London wouldnāt be complete without an after-party! The good thing about my line of work is that my ballet performances fund all these adventures.
Tonight, I'm meeting some fellow tutu lovers for drinks at a cozy pub with a vintage charm. Imagine this: candlelight, old wood panelled walls, and our favourite topic ā tutus! We talked about new releases, iconic pink styles, and why every ballerina needs at least one pink tutu in her collection.
I just love being surrounded by fellow enthusiasts, sharing the joy of pink tutus and inspiring one another to embrace a little extra sparkle in life!
More Than Just A Tutu
My pink tutu is more than just a garment ā itās a statement! It's about individuality, self-expression, and a healthy dose of girly fun. This blog post is just one glimpse into the adventures I embark on. Every week, I explore the world of ballet, fashion, and the joy of travelling, always with a splash of pink in tow.
Follow me on this journey through my blog and discover why I'm so passionate about making the world a little brighter, one tutu at a time.
Looking ahead to Next Week's Adventures
Oh my, I can already hear that train whistle beckoning me to new adventures! Next week, Iām heading to a fashion exhibit that showcases vintage tutus ā the ultimate pink fashion treat!
But first, I need to add a new pink addition to my tutu collection, which means Iāll be on the hunt for new sparkles and ruffles. If youāve got any recommendations for fabulous shops that stock tutus, let me know!
And before I forget, donāt forget to subscribe to my blog, Pink-Tutu.com, for more weekly adventures, fashion finds, and everything pink!
Until next time, stay sparkly,

Pink Tutu Blog London: A Little Look Behind the Scenes!Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to chat about something really exciting: Iām making a film about the story of pink tutus, and their significance in dance history and culture! I've been filming short documentaries about all sorts of things, from the history of Ballet shoes, to the art of making sparkly costumes.
It's such an amazing project. You see, when I began wearing a pink tutu in every day life, people often questioned, āwhy?ā but, really, the history of tutus, especially pink ones, is full of inspiring and courageous stories. It goes far beyond a dance outfit and speaks to beauty, freedom of expression and empowering women.
Imagine! Weāll get to see iconic moments in ballet where tutus have graced the stage and interview legendary ballet dancers sharing their personal experiences. Itās going to be incredible! I canāt wait to share it with you when itās finished.
Friday Fashion Finds*On a completely different note, let's talk about the joy of Friday! *This week, I want to showcase three fabulous fashion items I spotted in London ā and of course, with a pink twist!
The Glittery Ballerina Bag: I found this absolutely adorable pink ballet-inspired tote bag with glitter! Perfect for carrying all my tutu-related essentials. It was just so adorable, and I could instantly imagine wearing it to all my ballet shows and class. It felt so light and graceful to carry, like a ballerina twirling her way through the day.
Rose-Gold Hairpiece: There's a shop in London thatās a heaven for all things glittery, and there, I found a rose-gold headband thatās literally dripping in diamonds, crystals and it has just enough shine. And I've gotta admit, it even surpassed my collection of ballerina jewellery ā my favourite pink crown and heart shaped ring were begging to be worn at the same time.
Vintage Pink Brooch: At a lovely vintage shop in the heart of Covent Garden, I discovered this gorgeous pink rose brooch. It has such beautiful detailing. Itās a classic statement piece that instantly upgrades any outfit and adds a touch of timeless elegance.
And guess what? All three of these incredible fashion finds are in the shade of pink that matches my new ballerina flats perfectly. The universe just wanted to give me all the perfect pink touches.

I always think London has the right combination of being cosmopolitan, classy and always a bit out there in a good way! I just love the mix of heritage, history, art, and theatre and most importantlyā¦ the coffee and tea is top-notch!
And, well, all of that, mixed in with tutus, makes for a wonderful and super sparkly Friday Feeling!
