Pink Tutu Blog: London Calling! #1538 🩰💖

Hello my gorgeous Tutu Twirlers! It's your favourite pink-obsessed, tutu-wearing travel blogger Emma here, and this Friday I'm bringing you a whirlwind tour of London! 🚄✨

I hopped on the train from my Derbyshire haven this morning, feeling like a Parisian princess in my soft pink lace-trimmed dress, with my trusty pink tutu folded carefully in my satchel. (Yes, I travel with my tutu – it's an essential for spontaneous dance parties!)

London always feels magical, especially when you're arriving by train. It’s such a buzz, all that energy flowing through the city! I found myself twirling at King's Cross station as I stepped onto the platform, just couldn't help myself. Luckily, there was no one around to see me, but hey, gotta keep that passion for twirling alive!

My first stop was the world-renowned Victoria & Albert Museum. If you're even remotely interested in art, design, or just anything beautiful, you need to visit this treasure trove! I was mesmerised by the elaborate gowns and the delicate jewellery from the Fashion and Textile department. The room with the historical ballet costumes was an absolute dream! They had everything from nineteenth-century tutus to modern performance wear, I could have stayed there all day!

Next up was a quick lunch at the Covent Garden Market. My inner ballerina demanded something light and pretty – a deconstructed salad with delicate pink rose petals adorning the avocado. It was the perfect pre-show fuel! 🥗💖

And the show? The reason I came to London this week, Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre. It’s still running after all these years! And for good reason, of course! The cast was amazing, and the whole atmosphere of the theatre was buzzing. I must admit, the incredible musical numbers had me feeling the urge to jump onto the stage and join in – maybe next time!

Of course, no trip to London is complete without a little shopping therapy. The Selfridges flagship store on Oxford Street is my absolute weakness! The new arrivals in the shoe department almost brought tears to my eyes – I just couldn’t resist adding a pair of glitter pumps to my collection. ✨👠

Now, to be honest, a proper pink-tutu themed blog wouldn't be complete without a little ballet class. So, I took a class at the English National Ballet School! Just as a side note, these dancers were simply sensational. So much skill, so much grace, and oh, the tutus – absolute dreams! I’m inspired, and ready to twirl for hours. 🩰✨

My last stop was a delightful afternoon tea at the Fortnum & Mason tea room. What’s a British day out without a cup of tea and some freshly baked scones with clotted cream? You just can’t resist it! I also had a beautiful pink rose-infused strawberry jam. Perfect!

As I write this, it's late evening, and I'm sitting in my hotel room, a vintage champagne coupe of chilled English sparkling wine beside me, contemplating tomorrow's adventures. It's been a fabulous day. It's given me so much inspiration for the future of my pink tutu mission.

This weekend, it’s time to explore some of the hidden gems of London’s underground scene. You know I have my eyes peeled for all those quirky little vintage boutiques, those street performers, and hopefully some inspiration for new outfits! And who knows, maybe even a few new ballet performances to catch!

Remember, darlings, it's Friday and that means it’s time to let your inner tutu twirl free! Don’t forget to pop back here next week to see where my travels take me!

With much pink love,

Emma

London Spotlight: Friday 20th February 2026

If you're in London on the 20th of February 2026, you're in for a treat! It’s the Lunar New Year. The Chinatown festivities in London’s West End are a must-see with all the street food, decorations, and vibrant energy! And don't miss out on The Great Gatsby at the Dominion Theatre. I've heard this show is a total knockout, a glitzy glamorous journey through the Roaring Twenties! ✨

This year’s London Fashion Week is also kicking off, and I'll be there soaking up all the inspiration, spotting the latest trends, and keeping an eye out for any new designers who are pushing boundaries with their outfits! Of course, I'll be on the lookout for a new tutu or two as well, because you can never have too many tutus, darling!

This is just a snippet of what London has to offer – be sure to check out the local newspapers and listings to see what’s going on! It's a city that never sleeps, always bustling with excitement! 💖

This week’s tutu twist:

Pink Tulle Over a Floral Dress:

If you want to create a beautiful springtime look, why not combine the femininity of a floral dress with the whimsical charm of a pink tulle tutu! You can layer it over a sundress, or even a plain t-shirt. Think about the occasion. You could pair it with pink-tinged stilettos for a glam look, or ballet flats for something more casual! 👠🩰

Let me know your favourite pink tutu outfits in the comments below!

With much pink love,

Emma 💖✨🩰

Remember to spread the pink tutu love! Encourage everyone to find their inner ballerina, whether they wear it on stage or in their heart. 💖✨
