Pink Tutu Milan: Week 44 – Fashion, Fun, and the Magic of Milano!

Buongiorno, darlings! It's Emma from Pink Tutu, back from the most magical week in Milano!

This city just keeps on giving, from the stunning architecture and the chicest of boutiques to the delectable pastries and the warmth of the Italian people – it's everything a girl could dream of.

But enough about my girly ramblings, let's get to the good stuff – my fabulous adventures this week!

Milan, Milano, you’ve got my heart!

As you know, I'm a huge fan of taking the tram and train. It's so much fun to weave through the streets and watch the city come to life. This week, I was on a mission to discover a hidden gem – Teatro Dal Verme. Talk about grandeur! This stunning 19th-century theatre is just oozing with Italian charm and sophistication. The ornate details, the velvet seats, and the buzz of anticipation before a show – it really transported me back in time.

And what a show it was! This week, I saw the most incredible performance of The Sleeping Beauty. You know me, always on the lookout for that perfect ballet. Well, this was it, darlings! From the exquisite choreography to the shimmering costumes, the whole production was a fairytale come to life. I couldn't help but dream of being on stage, twirling in my own pink tutu, under the dazzling spotlights.

Shopping Spree: Pink is the new black!

Of course, no trip to Milan is complete without a little shopping, right? Now, you know how much I adore pink, and this week I was on a mission to find the most fabulous pink dress. I stumbled upon the cutest boutique tucked away in a little side street. They had the most incredible collection of vibrant, feminine dresses, all swirling and twirling with that classic Milanese flair. I had to try them all on, of course, and guess what? I found THE ONE! A soft blush pink number with a delicate lace bodice, just perfect for my next performance. I could just imagine myself dancing under the stage lights, twirling my pink dress, with my signature pink tutu on, feeling absolutely glorious.

Lunchtime delights and romantic strolls

Milan has so many enchanting spots for a perfect lunchtime escape. I absolutely fell in love with this charming café I discovered near the Duomo. Imagine it: delicate floral decorations, beautiful pastel shades, the sweet scent of fresh coffee – simply delightful. It was like stepping into a postcard, darling!

Speaking of delightful, have you ever tried an Italian gelato on a hot afternoon? I have! And believe me, it's pure heaven. I mean, there's nothing quite like walking through the sun-drenched streets, feeling the breeze caress your face and enjoying the smooth, sweet taste of pistachio gelato! The perfect combination, right?

I did a lot of walking this week. It's amazing how the vibrant colours, the chic boutiques, the impressive architecture all come together in a perfect blend. There's an undeniable beauty about it. I found myself simply lost in the maze of enchanting streets, just strolling and observing, breathing in the atmosphere of this enchanting city.

Fueling my Ballet Dreams:

I know I haven’t mentioned this in ages, but all this fun is actually financed by my passion - dancing! As you know, I love performing. Whether it’s at a theatre, a ballet studio or on the streets of a new city, ballet gives me the chance to be my most confident, creative self. It’s a big part of how I get to see the world. It’s exciting to travel to places I wouldn’t normally go and discover something new, which is also why I decided to give you guys a peek at what I see during my journeys. It’s fun to show you what a girl like me who loves ballet, dresses in pink and lives life to the fullest can do!

Sharing the love of pink tutus

And now, the big question you've all been waiting for - why pink tutus, Emma?

Well, let me tell you: Pink tutus represent everything I believe in – joy, freedom, and creativity! I want to show the world that there's nothing more empowering than embracing your inner child, and that pink can be a symbol of strength, confidence, and pure, unadulterated fun.

Let's face it, wearing a pink tutu takes courage. It’s about embracing your inner sparkle and not being afraid to be seen, to be heard, to be yourself.

And that, darlings, is what life's all about! So, put on your most fabulous pink outfit, throw on a pair of sparkly heels, and join me on this wild adventure!

I can't wait to hear your stories too. Share your thoughts in the comments below! And if you're planning a trip to Milano, remember my pink tutu mantra – dare to wear your heart on your sleeve and never be afraid to twirl.

Until next Monday, darling, remember to keep dreaming, twirling and spreading that pink love!

Love, Emma

P.S. Did I tell you about the gelato I tried with pink rose petals? You have to try it, it was just divine!
