Pink Tutu Milan: Ciao Bella, Post 102! 🩰🇮🇹

Hello my lovely ballet bunnies! It’s Emma from Derbyshire, your favourite pink tutu-wearing blogger, and guess what? I'm back in sunny Milan, living my absolute best life! This city truly is a ballerina's paradise, and I've been enjoying every minute of it.

This week has been an absolute whirlwind of tutus, trains, and fabulous fashion, and I’m absolutely bursting with excitement to share it all with you!

Fashion Fiesta!

First things first, a girl's gotta look fabulous, right? This week, I’ve been having an absolute field day with the shopping scene here in Milan! I'm talking exquisite fabrics, luxurious cuts, and some truly mind-blowing window displays. Honestly, I almost forgot I came here to see a ballet performance! 😂

But hey, we’re all about that ballet lifestyle here at Pink Tutu, so I made sure my new buys complemented my perfect ballerina silhouette, And let’s face it, there's no better way to enjoy a day of browsing than with a hot cappuccino and a slice of panettone (yes, even in May!).

Train Travel and The Theatre!

And let's talk about the joy of Italian trains! From the stylish design to the views out the window, riding the rails in Italy is a real treat. It’s just like stepping back in time but with better wifi. I recently travelled by train to a charming little town called Cremona - I heard the Cremona Cathedral has one of the finest medieval churches in Italy. And let me tell you, the sights were incredible! And guess what I wore on my day trip? My trusty pink tutu, of course! 😉

But back to Milan, and it's theatre time! On Tuesday, I went to see La Scala, one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world! You just know you are about to experience a piece of magic. You don’t have to be a fan of opera to enjoy the whole spectacle! The costumes, the singing, the music… just magical!

But let me tell you, nothing compares to seeing ballet under the twinkling lights of the Teatro alla Scala!

Speaking of, I’ve also been hitting up ballet class - what else is there to do, right?! 🩰 And let’s just say that it’s made my ballerina moves absolutely heavenly! I've been feeling extra graceful, extra strong, and extra happy, and that, my lovely ladies, is a truly good feeling!

More About Milan!

And oh, my fellow tutudots, you know I love exploring the cobbled streets of Milan! There are so many cute cafes to grab a coffee and croissant, and the food here is just heavenly! Seriously, the best pasta, pizza, gelato…you name it!

And Milan isn’t just a city of beauty but a city of heart, it seems! I also have to mention this incredible street performance I saw on Wednesday afternoon in Piazza del Duomo! A whole troop of street performers all decked out in pink tutus! This, my dearest pink tutu friends, made my heart explode. I even found myself a fellow pink tutu enthusiast (I might even have a new tutu friend!). This city knows how to get a tutu lover excited! 😉

And Speaking of Wednesday…

We've finally come to the big day, the day of my ballet class!

The ballet studio in Milan is a proper hidden gem – small but so, so stylish! All beautiful wooden floors and light, airy ceilings! It feels as if I've been transported to some whimsical, pink-tinted ballet dreamland. And it's even better when it's all for me and some amazing ballet classmates (I swear, I could actually get used to that!).

My classmates are really impressed with the skills of the students here! I actually saw some amazing moves – turns, jumps, and all sorts! I can't even get that many pirouettes in without ending up dizzy!

But I have to ask… Have You Seen It?

And speaking of dance moves… you just have to watch this incredible ballet video I found this week! Have you heard of “The Dream of Ballet”? It’s like the whole experience of ballet encapsulated into one mesmerising movie! And, oh my god, the dancing is utterly mind-blowing! Soaring leaps, delicate jumps, and some serious skill! I even tried learning some of the choreography at the studio!

I was getting a little competitive there… and yes, there was one big dramatic tumble! Don't worry, it's all in good fun. 😂

My Wish For You!

Before I sign off, my beautiful tutudots! If I can inspire even one of you to don a pink tutu, then my day has been made! 🩰

So, don't be shy, go forth, and twirl in all your pink glory. You look fabulous in that colour, you know! It's time to bring back that touch of ballet elegance to our everyday lives! I promise, you’ll feel a whole lot more fabulous.

And just imagine the incredible stories you'll have to tell about how you started wearing tutus… 😉

See You Next Week!

Well, that’s all from me for this week, lovely dancers! Until next Monday, I'm sending all my love and twirls your way! Don't forget to pop over to www.pink-tutu.com to check out my blog and for some inspirational, pink-tinted ballet fun!

Until then, twirl, twirl, twirl!

Love, Emma 💖
