My latest ballet performance back home in Derbyshire went off with a bang - I think the audience enjoyed my new pink feather boa just as much as I did! Let's just say I felt like a fairytale princess (in my trusty pink tutu, of course) when I boarded the train to Milan. Okay, you can't talk about Milan without mentioning the divine food scene. I’m a little bit of a foodie, so it's definitely a big plus for this trip. Milan boasts everything from cozy cafés serving steaming cups of cappuccino to traditional Italian restaurants brimming with authentic flavors. I just can't wait to indulge!
My mission? Find the perfect place for a "Pink Tutu lunch"! My mind is already buzzing with all the options. A picturesque café, maybe one tucked away on a charming cobbled street, with fresh pastries that look like miniature art pieces. A plate of delectable pasta al ragu, perfectly balanced with rich tomato sauce and tangy cheese. And let's not forget a sparkling glass of Prosecco to celebrate the joy of a pink tutu adventure!
A Day in My Life (So Far!)
Wednesday morning began with a breakfast of croissants and coffee, just like the French movie star I aspire to be. It felt like something out of a romantic comedy as I enjoyed the warm sun on my face and savored every bite, fuelled with anticipation for my exciting Milanian adventures!
You'd better believe I spent a delightful morning exploring the elegant shops around the Piazza della Scala, my eyes scanning for potential new pieces to add to my ballet-themed wardrobe. Imagine it - velvet jackets in deep crimson, silk scarves adorned with dainty florals, and a whimsical feather boa to complete the perfect “pink tutu moment”. Milan was already showing me her dazzling side and I couldn't have been happier.
The afternoon was all about indulging in the true taste of Milan, so naturally, I chose the most quaint, charming, and adorable restaurant. It had pastel-pink walls, charmingly mismatched floral crockery, and the most heavenly aromas coming from the kitchen. The moment I sat down and ordered my pasta, I was ready to forget all about the world's worries!
This evening will be about catching the “Pink Tutu Moment” at the ballet street performance in Piazza della Scala. Imagine - elegant music drifting through the air as the dancers spin and leap beneath the Milan sky! What more could a girl want?
