Pink Tutu Milan #322: A Ballet-Filled Week in the City of Fashion!

Ciao, darlings! Emma here, back from a whirlwind week in Milano! You know I had to bring my pink tutu along for the ride, and it definitely turned heads amongst the stylish locals. 😉

This week was a total dream come true - think beautiful ballet shows, gorgeous boutiques filled with the most incredible clothes, and a chance to see Milan through the eyes of a true pink-loving ballerina!

Taking the Tram to Theatre: A Ballet Bonanza!

I absolutely love the thrill of hopping on the tram here in Milan. It's such a unique experience, watching the city zoom by. This week, I was particularly excited because I had tickets to a stunning ballet performance at the Teatro alla Scala - the iconic opera house!

Can you believe this beautiful theatre dates all the way back to 1778?! That's practically older than my favourite pair of ballet shoes! 😉 It was a magnificent performance - a truly enchanting production that left me wanting more. The costumes were incredible, the dancers were breathtakingly graceful, and the entire atmosphere was just electric!

I'd be lying if I said that I didn't indulge in a little post-show shopping afterwards. After all, you know my love for beautiful ballet wear! I found the most stunning silk ballet skirt - it's perfect for twirling around the city, don't you think?

A Pink Tutu at the Piazza del Duomo

It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Milan post without some gorgeous scenery! And let's be honest, Milan is like a museum of stunning architecture and beautiful fashion. I made sure to bring my pink tutu to the iconic Piazza del Duomo for a few shots! It's truly magical! I'm starting to think a pink tutu might be the perfect travel companion for any trip! Imagine, exploring the world with a sprinkle of magic!

Delicious Italian Treats

Of course, no trip to Italy would be complete without trying all the delicious food! I absolutely devoured all the incredible pasta, gelato, and cappuccino - so many tempting treats! The Milanese people really know how to cook, and it felt so much like coming home! I actually went to this little pastry shop that's tucked away on a quiet street, and it was just perfection. Think delicate croissants filled with the freshest fruits and a splash of the most delicious custard cream.

Finding the perfect dress for my ballet performance!

As you all know, I am a huge fan of combining my passion for ballet with fashion! And, I just finished a performance at a gorgeous little theatre tucked away in a quieter corner of Milan! It was an amazing experience, and the audience loved the piece!

You know I've been on the hunt for the perfect dress for my ballet performance, and Milan just had to be the right place for my search! I spent the afternoon at this charming vintage boutique with my best friend, Emma. We ended up finding this beautiful lace dress, with just a hint of sparkle! I felt absolutely fabulous. You have to watch this space - I can't wait to tell you more about the performance soon!

Pink Tutu Tips for your next Milan trip!

If you're thinking about a trip to Milan, I'd suggest embracing the beauty of public transport - you really can get around the city in style on the trams and metro. I love how efficient they are. You get to experience a different kind of magic, seeing all the interesting little alleyways and cafes you wouldn't otherwise see. It also gives you time to daydream, create those fun blog posts, and imagine those magical ballet sequences that are waiting to come to life!

Remember to bring your pink tutu with you - it adds such a fun, vibrant touch to the vibrant Italian fashion!

You never know what incredible experiences await you on a trip, and always remember to embrace the magic of a pink tutu, it will make all your dreams come true!

Love and twirls,

Emma 💕
